Kim's Rejoice quilt by
Kathy in CA
Kim mentioned the Rejoice Quilt
(http://members.shaw.ca/kigraham/partners/Rejoice1.html) in the thread on
"BOM" and I liked it so much I actually printed out the whole thing today.
What I have in mind to do is just the center part with all the stars on
black as a wall hanging with a gold sparkly...

Aren't deadlines great? by
dogmom
Reminds me of that expression, "If it weren't for the last minute, nothing
would ever get done." Good for you for nearing completion! Now I guess I'd
best get back to quilting my raffle quilt which has a deadline, too.

Another top finished--yeah! by
Kathy in CA
Thanks! I thought as a beginner quilter I should start with traditional
piecing and now I have so many project running around my head I doubt if I
will ever have enough time. The sampler-type quilts give me practise making
different kinds of the traditional blocks. I hope to try a "picture"...

D&D
Hi Mary
Did you keep the replies??
Please may I have a copy of them ???
I had some flannel scraps from ebay that i was going to use to make a Raggy
quilt but most were too small to use for this so I am using them for Chinese Coins instead.
Due to the price of flannel I think I will be

There were a few postings that had the directions for getting the directory
into Excel format. I can't find them on Google. Does anyone remember the
directions? They would be most appreciated.

Hey everyone. Momentarily dropping in again. I do still stop by often
eventhough you don't see me. I don't have anything to add to the on topic
questions as I don't have enough experience yet, and don't have the time to
respond to all the happy dances, other happy announcements and...

Pressing and Cutting Paradigm Shift needed by
frood
I need to fundamentally change the way I prepare fabric for cutting. My
current system is time-consuming, and keeps me from doing mass cutting at a
time.
Currently, I:
- Gather the fabric to be cut
- Press it, one or two pieces together if they are the same size
- Lay it over the half-wall in the...

Houston IQF is gettin closer! by

Yes, summer is going to be over before we know it!
If you can, do consider staying over Sunday. Some of us who went back
to the festival on Sunday last year have compared notes and agree that
the light crowd made it a really enjoyable (and productive) day. It's
much easier to walk the aisles,...

Progress! by

DH was gone for almost a week, returning home from visiting his mom just
last night. I decided to make that week a sort of marathon piecing
session, and I made the deadline I hadn't thought I'd make. :) I really
wanted the top to my Eureka quilt (started at camp the week before) to
be finished when...

Retirement - not really OT by

Well, today is my last full day at work after 28 1/2 years at the same
place. I'm only working 1/2 day tomorrow cause I'm slipping out after
lunch to avoid the tears (mine as well as my co-workers). I made up my
mind last February but it's finally here. I'm excited but scared!!
Will I be...
