Sashing Width by Beverly K. Pope
I've looked at pictures in several quilting books, and the blocks seem to lose focus on quilts that have very wide sashing. Is there an aesthetically pleasing proportion of sashing width to block width? Specifically, I am wondering whether a 2" sashing would be pleasing for a 6"...

African quilt photos now available by bibi jann

AND for the tip about posting pix on www.webshots, which I've done. So you can see some of my African wallhangings (and even better)...

Susan, Roberta, et al: Thanks for all your kind comments about the batiks done by our Tanzanian grandmas. I've just begun selling their stuff (with all money going back to them, of course) and got a further boost from a mention in a quilting newsletter. Have emailed to the "bibis" (grandmas) that...

I just arrived at my cabin today....two feet of fresh snow in the last day and half! I met with the quilter and left her with two lap size quilts. I'm getting lazy in my old...
