but, guess what, the thread is breaking again.

stamps ??? by
claudia
Hi
I recently stumbled onto a stamping doo-dad that has piqued my
interest. I was thinking that if there is a permanent ink that I can
somehow apply to the stamp and then press this onto a piece of fabric,
color it if necessary with permanent markers, that this would make a
nice quilt label.
here...

needle and thread by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
more than once, I've been advised to use silk thread for certain tasks -
I've been keeping my eye open for it, but I can't find it, is there
some other name it goes under?
someone also suggested gold or platinum (I think) needles, I haven't
looked for those yet, but are they easy to...

Steam Iron Rant by
John
I finally had it today with the Rowenta steam iron thing. The third
one I have owned gave up the ghost. I had been suckered into the
purchasing of Rowenta based on the supposed good reputation of that
line of irons. One of them I dropped and it quit qorking. No problem,
my bad. The replacement for...

Europe quilt shops? by
Chris_Signe
Hi,
Thinking about taking a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. We would
be stopping in these following towns. Anyone know of quilt shops to stop
and visit? Ones located near the river would be easiest to access on brief
port stops.
Amsterdam, Netherlands;
Cologne, Rudesheim, Mainz,...

Hire someone to finish my quilt? by
[email protected]
Hi. I'm new to quilting... all self-taught, so I'm not very good with
the terminology yet. Please forgive me it I'm not saying what I want
correctly.
Anyway... I've been working on a simple quilt. Just blocks that I've
put together with my machine. I like how it turned out. Nice colors
and...

Machine embroidery stabilizer problem by
She in PA[_2_]
Hi,
Ok, I had a brain warp momeent. I had my small hoop already fixed with the
paper sticky stabalizer. It's the kind you hoop it then you make a little
slash and pull the top layer of paper of and you lay what ever you can't
hoop on there and embroider it. I had it ready to monogram my hubbies...

OT jam making by
Elly
Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me asking on here but I don't know
who else to ask.
I've just made 6 jars of strawberry jam for the first time. However,
it is a tad runny. I realize the fruit was a bit ripe but it was on
offer and I thought the lemon would have sorted that out. I boiled...
