OT Rough day so far by
Patti
Sorry to hear this Susan. I should think all you describe will count up
to three. Let's hope you don't get another. Hope all goes well,
especially your husband's hospital check. Really bad luck.

ping Sherry, about the quilt called Betty n me - pattern request by
Musicmaker
SHERRY - I apologize for not getting back sooner! There is a pattern
for this quilt. I got the pattern from the issue no. 84 of
Traditional Quiltworks magazine, March 2003. I put it into EQ5 to
get
the size I wanted and still have the magazine and EQ printouts. Do
you want them?

I forgot to post a link to my newest finished project! by
Musicmaker
http://Musicmaker.fotki.com
My sewing buddy, Betty, saw the picture of this boxer and really loved
it, so as a surprise for her, I decided to turn it into the front side
of a sling/tote. When I first printed it out, over a year ago, I
wasn't very thrilled with how faded and blah the colors were...

Quilting Q. using 'Press'n Seal' by
Bronnie[_2_]
When I visited Judy in Maine in October, she kindly gave me a box of
Glad 'Press'n Seal' which isn't available in australian supermarkets.
She showed me how to trace a
quilting design on a square of it, and then finger press it to the
fabric to be quilted.
I thought I would open the topic up for...

It's a girl by
Witchystitcher
Just back from our visit. She was wonderful. I can't believe I had to
leave her. While there I saw a rumor that a retirement incentive was
passed for anyone who is 55 with 25 years in. It will only be open for
3 months (don't know which ones). Trying to figure out if I can retire
6 years early and...

Batting questioni by
Ann
Hi all. I'm wondering about batting and warmth. I'm making a quilt for a
customer as a gift for his Mother. He wants a warm quilt so I'm not sure
which batting I should use. I have Warm and Natural and "I think" enough
Hobbs 80/20. Which is better to give the warmth? Any insight would be...

Hi to Goobear's friends,
He went to school today and had his photo taken with the Grade 1 and Prep

He gave each of the children a hug and behaved himself very well.
On Saturday he went to Hastings and saw the Pelicans and SeaGulls who all

The Snow Blower by
Frank Reid
Sorry, been away for a bit, so didn't post to collated shopping list.
I hope you all got some ideas from the thread.
One thing that I found for my bride was a wedge template, drunkards
path template and a martelli circle cutter. Think she'll like them.
For the daughter, some wool, a gift...

OT eternal-september/comcast by
Anne Rogers
Since comcast stopped newsgroups, I've been using motzarella then
eternal-september, then on Monday it stopped working. DH thinks it's
either comcast or the newserver rather than a local issue, so I
wondered if anyone has had any problem with either?

Hi Guys,
I don't remember if I posted this before but I have uploaded some
new photos to my Webshots Quilting album and to Cheeto's album. There
is one of Cheeto (Kitten from Hell) helping me hold up a quilt and
several of the continuous line FM quilting design of a horse head. I

Finished project plus new (?) technique by
Leslie& The Furbabies in MO.
I purchased some wooden boxes- I think of them as Treasure Boxes- at Hobby
Lobby. (They run $20-30 but I've managed to catch them at half price sales
in early December and stock up!) The boxes have an area with glass for a
4X6 in. photo. And, of course, a 4X6 quilted postcard fits in there! ...

OT QI Color Coordination by
Dr. Zachary Smith
Boomer was a no-brainer (which works on a couple of levels...)
Everything he had was red; he looked GOOD in red.
Fudgey is another story... What looks good on dark brown (that I'm
likely to find at a pet supply store)? Boomer's old red stuff is
functional, but just doesn't quite go (not to...
