Lollee Robers by
Ali
I've not been RCTN for a couple of years, so I don't know how many of
the old crew are still around, but I just checked and hadn't seen
anybody post about this yet.
If any of you remember Lollee Roberts, please keep her in your prayers
and good thoughts. Her husband died suddenly on Saturday...

Way OF--I need a shoulder by
Pat Porter
Poor you - and poor dog. Mine had a bad tum this week - we kept her on
chicken and rice, and precious little of that - and she`s fine now. Still
on chicken and rice for a day or two as a precaution - luckily she
remembered about the newspaper on the floor from when she was REALLY tiny
(she`s only...

How do you pick your next piece? by
wild
Oh, someone else like me!! I feel so guilty when everyone talks about
their framing, because almost all of my crossstitch projects are still
awaiting that last bit of backstitch, those few beads, that girls head.
And they are ALL in a box under my desk. A single xs piece of mine has
been framed and...

painting, drawing, building and even cleaning projects. So.....

An easy route to take was Way OF--I need a shoulder by
Fred
Lucille,
If the dog had stopped vomiting then I would have continued to feed with
boiled rice and boiled hamberger and Pepto Bismo until things settle down at
the other end. It does take a bit of time for things to sort themselves out.
Prior to the introduction of a de-wormer the analysis of the...

Lost Stitches by
Russell Miller
Hi everybody,
With my luck, this is a question that only museum employees or
needlework historians will know. Have any stitches been lost over the
years. I mean, we have cross stitch, algerian eye, gross point, daisy
stitch etc. But are there any stitches from history that have been
forgotten...

Oprahization by
Caryn
Rather like O.J. Simpson, the 'bushy haired stranger' who according to
her had done it never materialized.
Suppose it was the same bushy haired man that Dr Sam Shepard (the inspiration
for The Fugitive) saw in his house the night his wife was killed?

Christmas Gifts by
Mellissa Allison
Sheena,
I've started collecting little things (not cards for Mum, a hacky-sack for
DH) for the stockings and I always keep an eye out for gift ideas. I'll be
ordering a pattern book this week for a friend's gift.
Mellissa (who should be starting her dad's stocking pattern in...

Rotating Projects (was LMAO: Banned from the Garden!--very long) by
Pat Porter
We do that for gardening - set the timer for an hour and drop everything
when it goes off - that way you don`t sicken yourself by doing more than
you`d really like! I HAVE used the timer for stitching, but normally I like
to finish one project before starting another - a part done one never...

Washington DC landmarks by
Donna
I read on the group months ago about a really nice series of charts
that were of landmarks in the DC area -- they were like a pen and ink
type drawing stitched in backstitch? Does anyone remember this and
can I have the designer's name. I have been hunting them on the web
and can't find them :...

OT Walnut Trees Was:Peonies, by
KDLark
According to my book, Black Walnuts only grow in Southern Ontario. HTH.
*Only* in Ontario? Then the squirrel that planted the seed which grew
into the black walnut tree in my mother's front lawn in North Dakota
must have had *quite* the trip!!! ;-)
Not as long a trip as the one that...

We're moving . . . by
Dianne Lewandowski
Heritage Shoppe is moving its site from one server to another.
This might cause problems in that you will not be able to access
Heritage Shoppe or its forum for a couple of days.
Don't be alarmed. We're still in Oconto, will be for awhile. Heritage
Shoppe isn't going anyplace anytime soon. We...

Lost Stitches by
Dianne Lewandowski
Thanks to Maureen, and the lively conversation over the last couple of
days, plus a nudge by Linn in her last post, I spent an hour last night
digging out books, an hour this morning stitching, another hour drawing,
and more time setting up a page. Not done, yet. grin
The whole "roman stitch"...
