I am wanting to make a set of soft (yet strong) luggage for my holiday, and was

Teri in HN
Hi,
I use a US Blindstitch machine at work, and haven't any documentation on the
machine. I would love to know if anyone has tips on using nylon transparent
thread and how to start sewing the blindstitch on a flat surface such as a

Web site update... At last! by
Kate Dicey
I've been mentioning it was coming for a while, and here it is at last!
Nothing major: one or two minor alterations and a new project. I made
a fleece jacket a little while back, and here it is, cat fluff and all!
I put the zip in on the serger in this one: works fine for fat
separating zips, but...

Taking the Wild Ginger plunge by
duh who
I don't remember who recommended this software, but I"m going to give it a
try, even though I can't really afford it right now. I'm just so frustrated
trying to find some interesting patterns for men's clothes.
I'm going to start out with a mandarin style jacket, thin-ribbed black
corduroy, with...

Another Newbie Type Question by
Pete Holland Jr.
Hey, everybody!
I have another rookie question about my sewing machine.
When the needle starts running, instead of feeding thread
off the spool, it stitches the extra running through the
other side of the needle. Once it is used up, no more
stitches. I've tried loosening the tension. Should...

Problem with bobbin gear by
Wave Jumper
I have a problem with my 1971 Singer Stylist Zig-Zag Sewing Machine, Model

a new bed for my dog. I think the Velcro did it in! Everything jammed up
and I had to cut the wad of thread loose from the bobbin area. When...

A question about sewing cotton lycra by
Marisa Cappetta
Hi there, I have a brief question. Are there any tricks for preventing the
edges of cotton lycra from curling? I would like to use it more, it's lovely
to wear, but the way the edges curl makes it tricky to sew/overlock.

faulty needle? by
FtForger
I was starting to work on some of my rainy day projects yesterday, so I
put in a new needle. I started sewing but noticed that the machine was
making a noise that I wasn't familiar with. Sort of a ticking sound. My
first thought was to clean and oil the machine (Singer 2662). So I
openned it up and...
