Problem with memory card by Doh Lar
Hi, I downloaded the free designs off the Janome website and put them on a blank memory card. The designs are on the memory card and I put the card in the sewing machine and it acknowledges that the card is in but it does not show the designs. I tried this on a Janome Embroidery Machine 300E.

Knock-off legalities? by Penny S
Joy Hardie's cat walked across a keyboard and came up with this: I think if you copy something for mass production re-sale you have to change or modify it by 30% to make it legal (from what I recall in my baby swimwear production days). But, if you are just making something for...

last minute christmas gift by Beth Pierce
I was down to the wire on making Christmas presents and had just a few to complete. Not knowing what to give, I came across a potpourri bag made from fabric. Has anyone done this? You take two pieces of fabric, 8x14 inches and sew them right sides together on three sides, making a bag. Then you...

I am not sure what I did, but almost everytime I reply to a post, only on this news group, it shows up somewhere other than beneath the original post. Does it show up that way to all of you? Also, If anybody replied to my post about downsizing it didn't show up. Could someone please reply to...

Zippers by Fakhina Sohl
Are different brands of zippers compatible? I have a travel pack, which used to have a small day pack that zipped on to the front of it with a YKK #10 spiral zip. Somebody stole the daypack. I'm planning to get another daypack, and sew one side of a zip onto it so I can attach it to my travel...

ok, gang, I opened my big mouth when the RV writer in the local newspaper recommended the sewing genie for RV travelers!! ( see my note to her below this post...) and she called, and was really interested in what I wrote, she'd had a sneaky feeling that it was as I described it. Anyway, I told...

Husqvarna Quilt Designer trouble by Old Lady Bishop
Hello. I have a quilt designer that I am sort of afraid to use because I seem to blow a fuse with every project. Granted, I am not the most skilled quilter, but it seems that the slightest tug leads to disaster. Has anyone else had this problem? I could really use some advice. Thank you. Janet

I am in the process of sewing a zipper with a fly into a pair of pants that I copied for DH and would like to know if anyone would want to share thier favorite way of doing this. I have made several of these pants, but was wondering if there might be a better, faster or simpler way. Does...

Janome 9000 by Steve & Paulette Lashley
DH just informed me this is my Christmas present. What is the best software, or what do I need, to adapt other formats of images? I am not even sure if I am asking this correctly, but I noticed that there are companies that cater to certain brands of machines, and I would like to know how easy,...

Question: Downsizing Childs pattern by dnmgiordano
I am making a dress for my daughter who is a size 3 from a pattern in which the smallest size is 7. I traced the pattern and played with it until it looked right, then made a muslin. I did pretty good on the bodice and am now going to start on the skirt then continue with a long sleeve jacket. I...

A delightful surprise by joy beeson
I pulled on pants and shirt, wondered whether it was Saturday, and, intending to check the clock on my computer, opened the sewing-room door -- and exclaimed "Hey! It's *bright* in here!" With a new coat of snow on the lawn and the sun low in the east, I could have sewn in here by natural...
