Tumbling Monkeys Finished by
Louise in Iowa
I just finished a quilt for my great niece. It was from Quiltmaker
magazine, and the minute I saw it, I knew exactly who to make it for.
Those monkeys were just so darned cute! Here are a couple of pics if
you'd like to take a...

Another happy dance by
Sally Swindells[_3_]
Second fleecy-backed quilt finished for baby Reuben. A cheater panel but
I love the colours and it fmq-ed so easily - it was so flexible to move
around compared with a proper sandwich.
Now I can get back to the ufo''s hiding in the chest - but where to start!!
Last in the Finished 2012...

Choosing Ginghers? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
DDIL thoroughly safely hid her best scissors. For good reason. Naturally I
loaned her my favorites until hers appear. Which, woe, forces me to buy a
new pair of scissors. Any reason at all will do just fine but it is not
easy. I find that there a knife edge, serrated edge, serrated knife...

Computers? WebTvs? by
Twila P
How can all of you be on computers and yet be a WebTv Discussion group?
If a person uses a computer they can't access a WebTv group. I don't get
it. I know I can't access any of your photos because they aren't on jpg
attachments that webtv uses. What am I missing?

Quilty Friday by
Steven Cook
Well, Quilty Friday with the teacher friends got off to a bumpy start. No
real start time was mentioned, and I figured that most of them have animals
to tend to, i.e. horses, dogs, etc, so they would be up fairly early, so I
dragged myself out of bed a couple of hours earlier than usual in the...

Expanding quilt display??? by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
I just had a crazy idea floating around in my lil' blonde pea brain and I need some input- tossing around some ideas.
Say you have an blank area on a wall. You have various sized quilts you'd like to display there at different times, but you don't want to mar the wall more than necessary. At...

Hollow cubes by
Julia in MN[_5_]
During the Minnesota Quilt Show, I took a workshop from Maxine Rosenthal
on making hollow cubes. It was fun and much easier than it looks. I
finished 8 different cubes during the class. I like the way she fits
them into her "One Block Wonder" quilts, but I'm just going to add
enough fabric...

My Biggest Problem (at present) by
Twila P
I squared up a bunch of 5 1/2" squares and sewed two of them together,
then two more together, etc. When I went to sew them into a 4 square
block I find that they are not all the same size. Why? I tried so hard
to get them all squared. Is there anything I can do to make all these
into a plain...

Quilting fleece backed quilt? by
Sally Swindells[_3_]
DDinL has requested a fleece backed quilt to be used like a shawl.
'Quick as a flash' (!) I have constructed a Warm Wishes(ish) quilt to
the dimensions specified, have purchased fleece and am just sandwiching
it (no batting so it will be more flexible). I am going to baste rather
than pin I...

Cambridge, UK - sewing machine by
Hanne in DK
A friend of mine is fixing to move and is spreading this:
Would anyone like a manual sewing machine with table top? Old fashioned
singer. Good working order, but upgraded to electric as I learned more.
Pick up from Cambridge.
Let me know if anyone is interested, although she'd probably try her...

Quilty Friday by
Steven Cook
Hi all
Long time, no post. So, school is out, officially, but the work continues.
What was supposed to be an easy close-up of the year to simply stack chairs
in my classroom/computer lab ended up with everything in cabinets except the
computer CPUs to be taken downtown to be updated, instead...

And when someone breaks their wings...
They simply continue to fly. On a broomstick.
They are flexible like that.
