Press 'n Seal in the UK by
Sally Swindells
I saw the Gingerbread lady today (the one who wrapped her gingerbread
for our Summer Sale in Press 'n Seal.
Unfortunately she is just recovering from knee surgery and said it had
affected her brain too! As far as she can remember it is called Press 'n
Seal and she bought it at either Lidl or...

California 2007 by
shhdesigns
Hi Everyone,
Been awhile since I posted but just got back from a tour of California. I
drove all the way down to San Diego, stopping to visit with some friends and
family along the way.
I've done a travelogue again. Didn't stop at every quilt shop, but managed
to hit quite a few along the...

California Part 3 by
shhdesigns
The next morning we drove up to Arroyo Grande, the Quilt Attic wasn't quite
opened so we walked along the main street and over the bridge taking in the
sites. Just as we were ready to leave she arrived to open the shop. She
has some neat samples in her window. One of a snowball quilt done...

California 2007 part 2 by
shhdesigns
Back on the road after a great family visit, we drove down highway 99
through various small towns. In Bakersfield we decided to try and get to
San Diego that very day. But the day ran out and it got too dark to
continue so at about 9 p.m. we found a hotel in Oceanside. We were about 30
miles...

Rowenta irons by
Donna in Idaho[_2_]
I just bought a new Rowenta (made in China) at Penneys that I'm going to
return. It doesn't get very hot & doesn't really put out much steam. I
have an old Rowenta that gets really hot, puts out a lot of steam, but spits
water. I've probably had this one for 7 or 8 years. The model # on it...

More progress, more pictures by
Louise[_2_]
My Card-Tricks wall-hanging is on the bathroom wall, complementing my
towels and motivating me to keep the clutter out of there.
I've done some Stack and Whack blocks - some are good, some are
boring, and some are the wrong size or shape. Here are some of the
pretty ones.
And my big purple thing...

Fabric and pattern search - need sources by

My daughter is a competition dancer. For the past few years her dance studio
has held fundraising events for breast cancer. This past spring, the studio
hosted a performance in a local college, where many studios got together to
perform, and ticket sales and proceeds of raffles, etc. went to the...

Some quilt pictures I found by
Sally Swindells
I put my breaking thread query on the Janome Yahoo group and got an
e-mail reply from Sarah Ann Smith, so I went to look at her gallery. Wow!!
I particularly fell for her Koi quilt. Now I know how to do double sided!

Hi all
Haven't posted much all summer as life has been very full and quilting just
hasn't fit in anywhere.
I think possibly the last time I posted was to announce the birth of baby
Sara, back in June.
She was grandbaby #25 for DH & I.
On Sept 5th baby Alyssa Marianne was born, #26.
Two more are...

using stripes by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I have some Christmas fabric that I found reduced, I'm just planning
what to do with it. One piece is stripy, I'm just wondering if anyone
had any ideas for what to do with it - I think I know the various
options for binding, I'd also thought of using it for the border, either
mitered, or with...

thread by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I think I must be missing something when I buy thread, I never seem to
see any of the brands that people have mentioned on here as being good,
I think someone was raving about Aurafil recently, but whilst I found
that brand, I couldn't spot any cotton threads.
The thread I am using for piecing...

Roll Call by

I'm new to all of this. I live in Woodstock Georgia. I have made two
baby quilts. But I'm falling in love with quilting. I spend most of
my time doing machine embroidery. Which is my real passion. That and
collecting fabric. I love sewing baby items. I love babies. My baby
days are...
