recycling yarns by
Soozergirl
Does anyone on this list go to places like the Salvation Army to purchase
old sweaters just for the yarn? If so, what's your experience been like?

Quick hello and stuff. . . by
The YARNWRIGHT
I know there're quite a few newbies... WELCOME! (in case I've missed
anyone!)
I'm busy now with a book for University Press (North Carolina), AND running
a new forum which I fully intend to rival Knitty's coffeeshop AND Knitters
Review!
Hugs,
Noreen

Need pattern/stitch for scarf by
Carol in TN
Welcome Back Susan
Recently I have seen instructions on knitting a 2 sided/colored piece. I
will try to remember where I saw the instructions - could have been in a
book from the library. I have seen a scarf pattern (Gemini - URL please?)
for an alien. The alien is not always visable so this may...

Knit hits mainstream magazines by
Penny Gaines
Not only does knitting seem to be being featured in craft magazines,
its even got as far as ordinary women's magazines.
I've been reading SHE on and off for many years, and for the first
time ever they have had an article with some knitting patterns.
They're not complicated, eg knit some squares...

Comfortafghan for Marrissa by
norabalcer
Hi Everyone,
I've asked permission from Dawn to do a comfortafghan for Marrissa and
she said it would be a lovely thing for us to do so here goes. I need
two 6x6 squares by the 31st of Jan. That gives us time to get past the
holidays and she will be in need of hugs for a long time.
Hugs,
Nora

Working with Fun Fur by
deMoMo
I am making this hat http://knitting.about.com/library/weekly/aa101104.htm
with Lion Brand Homespun and Fun Fur. (I did the ribbing and the first 8
rounds with just the Homespun). With the fuzziness of the Fun Fur, I can't
tell the difference between the seed stitch and the straight stitch! So...

My "Mr Brown" Disco yarn, Mary Maxim catalogue, and three Freebie patterns

*didn't* have) came in the mail yesterday.... I forgot to mention it last
night. :o) It's a neat colour, but with only one skein that size...

OT - Off for the night by
MRH
Okay, I'm giving up and getting off here now. I'm yawning all over the
place and my eyes are actually stinging. Although I will likely watch some
mindless TV until I really start to doze off. Best make sure to have my
afghan with me, and NOT turn the furnace up high or I will zonk out
completely...

don't know what the issue is with a box number. My address is either
General Delivery or the actual post office box. I don't get mail delivered

No revised Information list! by
MRH
Since I have heard from a couple of people asking me nicely not to put their
information on the list the way it used to be.... and one not-so-nice way of
*telling* me not to put her information on the list. I have decided not to
bother revising the RCTY Information List afterall.
Thank you to...
