Mom & Sis by
norma woods
Hi Guys,
Well we've been busy for the last 24 hours. Sis delights in getting me to do
things. Every time I do for Mom, With a great big grin, she will ask for
some time too. We got mom a hospital bed today. This one is a crank but
hopefully we will be getting an electric one before too, too, long....

Sarah Carter
I'm looking to buy some sock yarn in the UK by mail order, probably =
regia or opal (or the other one which I can never remember the name of!)
Has anyone here bought it through the post, and can recommend somewhere =
that is reasonable priced, and with good service?

Crystal Palace Yarns by
LLWeisse
has anyone worked with any of the crystal palace brand yarns? I picked up
several today, mostly for scarf making and was wondering what others thought
of them. Also they have a bunch of nice, mostly beginner patterns on their
site

I'm so proud! by
Provided44
As soon as I get off this computer, and sew the seam on the second sock, I will
have completed my very first pair of socks! These are MaryAnn's Seabury socks.
I am so glad I have been reading about other's socks being "fraternal" and not
identical twins! Mine are definitely fraternal. ...

Proud spinning report by
Noreen's Knit*che
I am proud to report that I spun ALL morning, and that I have (I'm terrible
with fractions) halfway between 1/4 and 1/3 of what I'll need to make the

Yippee!

Adding Selvage (Edge) Stitches by
MaryR
On a scarf in a 2 x 2 rib if I want to do a double selvage
stitch to keep the edges flat do I add 2 stitches to the
4-stitch repeat or 4 stitches?
Would this be the pattern or do i also need to add 2 sts at
the end of each row?
CO even number of sts (4 + 2)
Row 1: k2, *k2, p2*

Yarn Identification Needed by
Gina Beirne
Coming out of lurkdom to ask:
One of my friends gave me some yarn she no longer wanted. In the bag were
skeins of "Schoeller Wolle Tina." It's in 50 gram (100 meters) skeins. It's
made of 50% cotton, 20% linen, 25% viscose, and 5% acrylic. The label also

Do you guys have many swaps?
I was going to make myself some stitch markers, and thought that it would be
just as easy to make 4 extras and host a swap for stitch markers.
Would anyone be interested?

Neck shaping - pattern instuctions help by
Denise
Ok... I'm working on the dog sweater and don't understand the neck
shaping instructions. Here is what it says:
Note: Both sides of the Neck are worked at the same time, using separate
yarn for *each* side. This guarantees that both sides will be the same
length. Maintain established pattern...

Plague-induced senior moment by

It must be the combination of this chest crud and the meds my doc gave
me - I cannot figure out how to do this!
I have 47 stitches on the front placket of a baby cardigan. I need to
"evenly" space 5 buttonholes on the 47 stitches. My brain just isn't
up to the task for some reason. Just...
