List of fabrics to give away by
Susan Laity Price
I am cleaning closets. Need to find new homes for some old fabric so
what I have purchased lately will find space on the shelf and not on
the floor.
Polar fleece - 4 or 5 yards of Easter Egg print. You probably saw it
on sale table last year at JoAnn's. I couldn't resist it on the final
markdown...

How to cut a narrow sashing? by
Kirsten Bjorneboe
I need to make sashings 1 inch broad. Between the blochs (vertical)
4.5x4.5 inches) I use cut stripes 5x1 inch. It works fine (I handsew
them on).
I have tried to make sashings5½ inch and sew at the bottom of each
block. It is not good. It is clumpsy.
So I prefere cutting one long strip amd sew it...

day! Okay, so it was a really simple pattern... basically a 4 foot square
with a skinny border and a wide border with squares in the corners, but...

sewing machine table question by
Dr. Quilter
Last weekend went to see the Pfaffs and came home with a Brother NX 200.
DH balked at the prices of the Pfaff I wanted (considering the lower end
ones did not have the features I needed) so we bought this one with the
warranty that if I want to exchange it for a Pfaff within a year I get
the full...

How to clean/repair antique quilt? by
QuiltShopHopper
I found a depression-era quilt this weekend, and I would like to hear from
all of you antique quilt gurus how to clean it without harming it, and how
to repair the small frays and worn spots. It was a utility quilt, I can
tell, and I want to display it. I tried to post a photo of the quilt so...

OT - off to Branson by
Queen of Squishies
I'm leaving for Branson today! I know you guys will miss me, but try to
hold up, okay? I promise to answer all my fan mail individually when I get
back. Stash raid? Don't be foolish. Don't you know that every Queen's
castle is well guarded, especially the Royal Treasure? I wouldn't...

fabric question by
Helen in MN
For the second time in about 2 weeks I have been unpleasantly surprised by a
Hoffman fabric. And I bought them at two different places in two separate
parts of the state!
For the second time I find it almost impossible to get a straight grain of
fabric. If I rip the edge, in about 8" the line is...

halloween quillow for my little guy by
Ann Adamson
I hadn't been doing much sewing and had been stuck in the sewing (and life)
doldrums. So, I took some fun Halloween fabrics and sewed them all up
together and made a little quillow for my youngest son. Boy, did he love
that!
It make his (and my) day! He was showing it off to his Dad -- how it...

Fabric Question by
Laura Gilbert
I happened into an Upholstery Shop on my trip to Florida, the nice gentleman
gave me about 10 pounds of swatches. These pieces (most) are about 26
inches square. They are 100% cotton, preshrunk, and a nice weight fabric.
I would like to make them into some quilts for project Linus. A few of...

guild, so I need to find 5 more. Help! This is reaching the desperation
stage - if I can't find any takers, I'll have to mail back the...
