NWS in London by Sorceress
I have a few days in London next week and was hoping someone could point me to a good needlework shop or two. In addition to yarn and fibers, I'm hoping to check out bobbin lace making supplies. Any leads would be appreciated. -- Regards --Anne http://www.emptycauldron.com under construction

Pattern deciphering by Sorceress
I'm working on a new project and the directions are -- to put it kindly -- less than crystal clear. Tell me what you folks think..... ============================= The pattern stitch is defined: Multiple of 4 + 1 R.S. K1 (P1, K3) to the end W.S. P1 (K1, P3) to the end

Follow up to that pattern question by Sorceress
I completed that vest I was working on. The pattern question I posted here was merely the first in a long line questions. That pattern is so riddled with unclear, missing, or just plain wrong info. Gah. And here's the kicker.... The vest really is very easy to do. If there'd been a chart with the...

I picked this up yesterday, it's just out from Martingale, "The little box of sweaters". http://ssl2.adhost.com/patchwork/merchant.cfm?pid=614&step=4 20 designs, and I liked at least 12 of them. I started on the "graceful shell" http://www.martingale-pub.com/Catalog/B655_g3-2.jpg last night...

I finally got round to my mail backlog today and discovered my July squares from Rhonda! They're quite lovely. Thanks Rhonda! My own squares for her are as yet in a state of virtual existence. I'm going to try and get them done over the weekend. -- Regards, --Anne

Oct 6 x 6 Received by Sorceress
Came home to a week's worth of mail, but on top was my packet from Liz with my October squares! They're lovely, warm and inviting. Also included were a couple postcards that make me want to travel to the UK tomorrow instead of back to rainy L.A.. I'm going to have to rent a bigger car next time....

Feb 6 x 6 rec'd by Sorceress
I just received my squares from my Feb 6 x 6 partner. They're great! One ultra-bright rainbow square and one shades of purple and white square. And for an extra added bonus she sent me a neat little hematite beaded stitch holder. Yay! Another cool doodad for my toolbox! -- Regards --Anne Blogging...

6x6 Received by Sorceress
Shoddy postal service aside, I received my squares today from Dennis -- who is forever lodged in my mind as "Gramps" now. They're 2 crocheted squares in my ideal colors of the moment (we think alike apparently). They both have raised center medallions, one in blue/cream, one in...

OT - Iron & me by Sorola Pinja
First I want to say my most sincere thank you to all who have lived with me through this nasty iron case. I feel much better now. And you are right. 'Backdoor activity stuff' is black, I have seen it. But it should not be alarming. Or...? And then that heart thing...oh my. Sounds serious. I promise...

Me and my miserable memory by Sorola Pinja
I have not told you yet of my newest hotpad. I knitted it just a while ago. Its destination will be the place I work in. Purple and green and garter stitch. I handled those 2 strands of yarn as one yarn. So...can you imagine how the hotpad looks like? I like doing them. Easy to knit and mindless....

Operation ThirtySix by Sorola Pinja
Well, at least they were not too small, Jacqueline. :) I hope you can use them for something. Just inches mean nothing...The mount of stitches and rows are the ones I use when I knit. And I am glad you like them. Best: Pirjo

OT - Backwards again, and switching too - without looking! by Sorola Pinja
Hi ladies! This is OT, I know...but to me this is important. I try not to feel guilty, even I do, I admit it. There is persons I do not dare to tell this for, but you are different matter. My teacher and me, we left from Lepistö. Near the health center we changed the driver. I took the wheel...
