Coffee on a brisk Sunday by
spampot
It was gray and gloomy and wet when I got up and poured my first cup,
but it's turned very windy and the clouds are all blowing away -- cold
front moving through with gusts up to 35 mph. A good day to stay
indoors and sort things out; yesterday's rain should keep the leaves
from blowing around but...

Anyone collect buttons, I've sort of started. They sure can be fashionable.
I hope to come across some rather old ones at rummage sales. Thanks, Carol

Colonial House Hats by
Sarah
Hi,
I don't post on newsgroups often but I wanted to thank everyone for
their interest in my free Monmouth Cap knitting pattern. :-)
If anyone is interested, I have also written a book on knitting hats
with any yarn that you have in your stash, in sizes from tiny preemie
to extra large men's....

Colonial House Knit hats by
Jill Delgado
I'm hooked on the PBS Colonial House series and would like to knit the hats
that the men wear. It's a very basic cap pattern but if anyone knows of a
pattern, I'd appreciate it. It seems to have a "hem" at the bottom that
gives the hat a nice shape.
Thanks,
Jill

the owner let us keep going) making winter headbands in two colors, and I
think I finally have the hang of it! All the instructions, and the books,
but for some reason I just needed someone there in front of me to...

Color help? by
Karen
I swear, I just am NOT getting this!
I'm trying to work in two colors -- I can do ago with a color change at the
end of the row (as in horizontal stripes), but not in the middle of the row.
Here's the scenario. I have cast on 20 stitches, worked for awhile in one;
then doing 10 stitches in the...

Color knitting by
K
I think I'm ready to try a simple color knitting pattern. This will
be a whole new thing for me, never done more than solid color before.
What would you suggest would be the best way to learn -- any certain
websites, magazines, books, tips & tricks?
Thanks!

Color thing by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
When BB told me she'd like any color, I used red and garter
stitch. Now, with Jacqueline, I use blue and moss stitch.
That is my side of the story.
Best: Pirjo
