Sticky Question by
Arondelle
What sort of glue do you recommend for gluing PC to fabric?
E600 doesn't like porous stuff and has a tendancy to let go after a
while (like after stuffing a doll), and white glue (Tacky Glue, Elmer's,
etc.) doesn't like the PC.

Polyclay weakness by
Dicon[_2_]
I am having some trouble with the strength of thin ( 4 mm ) thick polyclay.
I use Fimo, and it tends to break very easily. I am making large flat shapes,
then decorating them with various things. I am sure I have the temperature
right, ( I use an oven thermometer ), so would there be another kind...

Gluing into polyclay by
Marisa Cappetta
I've made a silver bail for my charms that is basically a loop soldered to a
post. I want to drill into the charms I'm making and glue the post in. What
type of glue is recommended? I have hypocement and a two part epoxy but am
not sure if either of these will create an adverse chemical reaction...

Hi, I'm new here... by
Cherylsart
I've been lurking in the background of this list and rec.crafts.beads,
and finally decided to join. I'm Cheryl of www.cherylsart.net. I've
been working with pc for 4 years. Before that I have been a portrait
artist for 35 years. I've recently been putting portraits and drawings
on clay, mostly with...

Buffing - finally! by
Carla
I mentioned just recently that I was having less than successful results
with buffing. I was feeling discouraged.
The latest effort was using a Q-Tip wrapped in muslin, then stuck in a
little battery operated drill (from American Scientific, btw. Great
place to shop). It seemed like it would be...

Can't find the sandpaper by
Crafty Claud
I am having trouble finding 400-grit and up sandpaper. I don't have a
dremel or a sanding/buffing machine and the stuff they sell in craft
stores is not aptly suitable. I know some of the more popular clay
stores sell it, but honestly, it's too expensive. I used other grade
wet/dry grits going...

Bummed out about baking/ovens by
nanner
I've always baked PC in the big kitch oven (gas oven) and have never burnt
clay or had it darken. I didn't do anything special, just what the label
said. I've done everything from little eyeballs, beads, covered objects and
biggish figures.
Now - because i want to start doing ALOT of clay...

Puppen Fimo & Fimo by
Rachel
Hi
Does anyone have any experience with Puppen Fimo? And if so, can you
tell me it's characteristics ... say as compared to Fimo Soft or Fimo
Classic or even Prosculpt?
I checked the GlassAttic but there wasn't much info that I could find
on this clay.
Thanks

Hula hula by

Hi all,
I'm going to Honolulu, first week of May! Since I don't do a lot of
travelling (and this will be my *very* first time flying), I'm pretty
darned excited :)
Of course, the most important questions are - who's local and where are
the bead shops? g I'll be looking for places near the...

I am having a blast with polymer clay. I would like some feedback about the
things I have done so far. So far I have pics of 3 of my play sessions up,
and will have a 4th one as soon as they come out of the oven.
You can see what I have done so far...

glue and metal and polymer clay by
watchcat
Greetings all
I'm a newbie trying to make some pc leaves for a beading project. The
bead-leaves are to go with clusters of pearl 'berries' and it's necessary
for the hole to run back to front, not laterally, so I'm attempting to
attach wire loops at the top. Just poking the ends of the loops into...

De-lurking and looking for Flecto Varathane in Philly by

Greetings all! I've been avidly reading your posts for the past few
weeks and have gotten so much information from all of you. I've been
using polymer clay for about 7 years. In the past I've mainly done
cane work covering eggs, glass ornaments and candle holders. Last
year I started getting...
