gosh, can anybody see my multiple posts??? by Mickie Swall
I swear I only hit the button once for the JoAnn coupon! And my first response to the Aimless Musings post got me a timed-out message on Google so I typed it again. I'm having so much trouble posting to the group, my ISP shows me my posts but not anybody else in the world, so I've resorted to...

OT Hugs to Polly Esther's DSIL and DD by Polly Esther
from Dianne and Bruce to so very many warm-hearted wonderful rctq folks: First we were clobbered by Hurricane Katrina. An awful lot of what we owned was flooded or simply washed away. More than 3 months later, the destruction of Katrina continues. Mighty oaks and the supporting beams in some...

Hi all, we finally had a little sun today so I snapped a few pictures of the WUH that finally got finished about a week or so ago (the one I had worked on for years). I'm in the process right now of uploading them, as well as some other photos. If you all are interested, the snowy pictures are in...

OT - cleaning silver with foil by Jessamy
Hi all, I just *know* someone remembers how to clean silver jewellery with the use of aluminium foil - I thought I had remembered how but since the tarnish is still *on* my jewellery I can safely assume I did it wrong. as I recall it one scrunches up some foil, puts it mat side up and the covers...

OT good deed for the day by Terbear
Just came from the Senseo Coffee maker give away "drop the drip". If you turn in your old coffee maker, they give you theirs. They had a lot of new coffee makers that were turned in, so I asked if I can take them to charity, and they were so happy to give them. I was heading to drop off gifts for...

OFF TOPIC : For the Oldies by Butterfly
About 3 years ago, I asked you to send postcards from your area to a lil girl that was fighting a rare form of bone cancer. She lost her battle and is being laid to rest today. She was 11. You brought joy to her life then and her Dad said she often would look at the cards and wonder about the...

Iowa quilt shop by AliceW
Well, been there and back which is no easy feat! It takes 2-3 flights from Philadelphia and most of a day to get to Sioux City, Iowa. I was a bit confused when I saw my hotel was in South Dakota and my business meeting was in Iowa. From where I was located, it's a short trip to South...

Well - it's official. The Squishie Faerie has a hernia!! Thankyou so much to those who sent to me (also off-ng). I am happy wiggling for joy! The PO here contracts out parcel delivery and the lady who delivers in town is one of my students. Much to her DH's disgust she always wants to wait...

Looking for Singer 401A manual by Julia in MN
I'm looking for a manual for the Singer 401A that I bought on a garage sale. The best price that I have found is from http://www.sewusa.com/index.htm ($8.50 for PDF on CD, $7 for PDF download). Have any of you ordered from them? If so, was it a good experience? Or do you have any other suggestions?...

I just bought a quilt rack at our local store called Big Lots for $4.95. I bought 3, one for me, one for a friend at guild, and one for the raffle at guild. They are nice for $4.95. They are made by Saunders Company that makes all that prefab furniture like cheap bookcases and entertainment stands....

Caroler Capes done New Pics by She in PA
Thanks for all the help with how to sew on faux fur without it jamming under my presser foot. The trick was the cling wrap. I put a piece under the presser foot and it covered over the fur and just followed along with the foot. I only needed a small strip that stayed right under the foot. I thought...
