Good Read by Cheryl Isaak
Ok - I saw this at Barnes and Noble and checked it out from my library - The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie - by Alan Bradley. What a quirky little mystery. Flavia De Luce is a 11 year old girl in England during the reign of George VI, but there is nothing typical about her. Stamps,...

A Celebrations report by Cheryl Isaak
Well, I did check in on Thursday, but to do nothing more than get my stuff and do a quick run of the 'mall'. I was initially disappointed to see nothing new (more on that later). Friday, DD and drove down to have lunch with Margaret and do a few things in Andover while we waited to pick her up...

a new start by Susan Hartman[_2_]
A new start in a couple of ways... DH and I have lost our jobs, so are re-tooling resumes, making new contacts, etc. But also it's given me a bit of energy for unfinished business in other aspects of my life - we cleaned out a hall closet last week, progressing on another home improvement, and...

Question??MLI by Gillian Murray
I was in my LNS last week to pick up some things se had framed (very inexpensively, I might add). We chatted, and she remembered she had something important to ask me. She said that she had heard that MLI was designing again. She told the questioner that she hadn't heard it, but I would know,...

OT - an oldie by Bruce Fletcher
No doubt some of you heard this whilst still in your pram but it still makes me giggle: A chap goes into a seafood restaurant and asks to see the dishes of the day. The waiter wheels over a trolley with a large tank full of various species, and the man examines the dishes. "I'll have the little...

OFF TOPIC - time for one of those questions by Cheryl Isaak
Ok mothers of daughters - at what age did you allow your daughter to Wear "perfume" (includes body sprays)? Wear "makeup" - lip gloss, eye makeup, etc? DD has had light scented body sprays for a year+ now (post gym, it is needed along with the deodorant). She just bought her first lip gloss -...

OT Sad new for me....and possible GeoBear delay by Dawne Peterson
My only brother died yesterday. He was 55. I will be leaving in the next few days to go to where he lived. Please remember me in your prayers. This may mean that Geobear arrives when I am away, which will mean a delay. I may just send him on directly to the next person, without doing photos,...

What to do next? by Lucille
A subject we are always interested in and hopefully drums up some responses. I'm almost finished with the bookmarks I'm making for gifts and now just have to decide how to finish the back. Should I use ribbon and should that be glued or sewed on? Should I fringe the ends of the plainer one or...

OT - a warning by Bruce Fletcher
This was sent to me by a female friend, it seems sort of important: You've heard about people who have been abducted and had their kidneys removed by black-market organ thieves. Well, my thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with someone else's...

Tail Catcher by Sandy Bell
Hi everyone, I'm trying to track down something called a Tail Catcher - a great little device that allows you to use threads right down to the end (you know when the needle is too long and you can't end off) and then you use this device to pull the end through. Can't seem to find any here in Oz...

What I did while the boys were gone by Cheryl Isaak
Well, first, while house work got done, I didn't have that dead line to finish a big chore. So lots of bags ones got tackled and mostly completed. Second, I read and I stitched. And stitched and read. HURRAH.. Third - I took the time to dive up to Contoocook and stitch with Susan on Thursday....
