Vogue Magazine pattern problem by
Susan Stonehill
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to make a sweater for my niece using pattern 12 in the winter

a gold yarn. The original yarn called for is Berrocco's Metallica (now
called Brilliant FX). I couldn't get that yarn, but found...

When in Peru, what yarn to buy? by
CindyLV
I have a dear friend who lives in Peru and will be coming back to the States
in January. I would love for him to pick me up some local yarns and bring
them with him when he comes.
Any idea of what kind of yarn I should specify? I would think Alpaca would
be the most "local / regional" type of...

WoolyGooly
Today I'm going to do as much prep as I can for tomorrow's brunch.
I'm expecting 30-odd people at Meemaw's so the more I get done today
the easier tomorrow will be.
Santa's helpers also have to spirit wrapping paper out of the house to
the garage and get things wrapped today/tonight! The boy...

Merry Christmas to you all! by
Aud
It's storm here,
but I leave in few hours, first to DD.
Then tomorrow we go south to Tenerife,
Canari Islands. It seems that the weather will be nice!
If not, we will at least have a "different" celebration :-)
Hugs to all of you,
Aud ;-))

Knitting for men by
Mary Fisher
There's a lot of mohair and other furry yarn in my stock which I want to use
before I buy any more of anything.
Can anyone think of any reason why it shouldn't be used for a man's jumper?
My husband is very tolerant (we've been legally married - to each other -
for going on for fifty years) and...

purchase. The one in the box a couple of inches bigger than index cards.
I think it is the best on in the last several years. It even has some
decent sock patterns. I also used one of the small baby sock patterns

knitting style by
[email protected]
I relearning how to knit again. When I learned to do it as a child I
wrapped my yarn around my index finger on my left hand. I don't
"swing" the yard around like many that I observed today. What is my
style called?
