Determining age of lead - DSCN1416a.jpg (0/1) by
dohboy
I am currently working on releading a 18th French panel. The lead appears to have machine marks in the channel.(Image attached) My guess is that the panel had been releaded more recently.
Does anyone know where I might find information on determining the age of a panel from the came marks?
TIA

Acid wash by
Glassman
I need to do some small bends for an old fixture. Can anyone recommend a
good method of acheiving that oldtime acid washed matte white look you see
on schoolhouse type fixtures from the 30's and 40's? Should I just sandblast
them, or use a wash? Anyone try over-firing to achieve this effect? Do...

They are irregular shaped between the size of a baseball and softball.
The pieces have sharp edges an many are covered in scratches and flaked
edges.
I am using these in some yard art in which I wrap the pieces in copper
rod...

Cutting glass; by
Des
I should have mentioned this in my previous posting, but among other things
I've got to cut glass that's textured on both sides.
I've never encountered glass that wasn't flat on one face before.
Is there a web page with advice about this please?
Des.
