Grey's Anatomy Slams Needlepoint by Karen C - California
Apparently Grey's Anatomy called needlepointers "dried up" ladies. Emailing ABC gets only a generic reply. They are rarely read and only adds to the idea that the show is getting good response. Below is a web site with the names of the CEO's and all the other executives. Under that...

Floss Conversion help needed by Joan E.
Hi all, A coworker's friend died recently and he had a number of projects in progress. My coworker told the family he'd finish them. One of the projects was a surface embroidery baby quilt, I think from Bucilla. In the chart there's a pale yellow with the number 6098. I can't find this on my...

Easy Grapher Pro by Duckie
Does anyone know if they are still in business. I placed an order on Nov 4 and have heard nothing. I have sent email. One bounced and one is still hanging in the wind somewhere. I tried calling and after it rang 11 times, a voice said "Mailbox full". Not sounding good. Really wanted and needed this...

Shops in Boston area? by Elyse Grasso
Last winter I spent several months in Minneapolis, where I was spoiled by the availability of Stitchville USA. And there are quilting shops and needlework shops all over the place near my home in Colorado. This year I have a consulting gig in the Boston area (living in Malden, working in North...

Fluffy bits after RRRipping! by Pat EAXStitch
I use a strip of Sellotape ("Scotch|" tape). Applied lightly it takes off all those "fluffy bits"from front and back and does no damage. Pat P

Happy, happy, happy, ECSTATIC dance! by Susan Hartman/Dirty Linen
I finished "The Marriage of Minds" this morning...put my initials and date on it. Then I brought it to the Stitching Post and selected a gorgeous frame and it's not *too* expensive to frame after all! (I'd been dreading the framing bill). I decided not to mat it and let the stitching "breathe" and...

New Wooly Dream FREEBIE on Kreinik Site by lula
Hi RCTN'ers Edith Rivera, a RCTN'er called tonight to let me know one of my charted designs is now on-line at the Kreinik web site as a "freebie" give-away. Most of you know me as primarily a needlepoint designer of handpainted canvases but I've done quite a few published charted designs through...

Small Happy Dance by Bonnie
I finally finished something (even if it is a small project): Olde Colonial Designs' Measuring Gift for Thee. Also, I got my band sampler back from the instructor today and was very pleased to hear what she said about my third lesson. :-) -- Bonnie

OT - don't do it!!! by anne
For those of you who use PCs, not MACS, do not, I repeat do not, upgrade to Windows Vista or buy a new machine with Vista installed unless you are willing to spend more money to buy new programs that allegedly run on Vista or to spend hours and hours figuring out how to make old programs and...

Kreinik Came Through! by Threaded
Hi Gang - Just wanted to let you know that I received my silk from Kreinik yesterday. Yummy! I bought the Soie Gobelin, Platte, and Perle sets. I checked the site, and they had added a few more things - needles, and of all things, silk batting! I've never heard of it, but that isn't saying a...

removing a label - on topic - sort off by Cheryl Isaak
okay - a puzzler for the chemistry types among us. Years ago I had a plastic first aid kit in the truck. It doesn't fit in the car's glove box. But dang, it's the perfect size to hold "stuff" for a travel bag. Or just to store buttons/charms etc... EXCEPT - I can not get the printed label off....

Great new pattern and buttons from Hobb Nobb by JnMoore100
If you like Xmas designs and buttons check www.cross-stitch-usa.com website and on their what's new page is this gorgeous Tree (advent calendar) with all the buttons. I haven't seen it on any other website but am sure it probably is. Hobb Nobb has outdone herself this time.

Ok - designers you admire by Cheryl Isaak
Currently high on my list: Ink Circles: Alessandra Adelaide Needleworks Some stuff from Country Garden Stitchery, but by no means all of it. Who Knew? Has several pieces I covet. If I ever manage to find steady part time work, I'm kitting up several of them. And I don't generally do "fantasy" I...
