16th Wedding Anniversary gift? by
Allaya Diep
LOL - That's pretty funny. I guess Adam and I are getting fruit this year!
Yeppie!!!
Allaya
When we'd been married nineteen years, one of my sisters sent us an
anniversary card by the great Sandra Boynton, with a list of those
in-between ones. I still have it, it's such a stitch. ...

Using Homespun question by
Denise
Hi everyone!
I'm still working on this lapghan and had some questions about using
Homespun.
If the unused thread bunches down, does that mean I'm knitting too tight?
Do you usually keep pulling the bunched up yarn toward the ball as you work?
Do I need to try to keep it from happening altogether,...

Millie
Hi
I've posted a couple of times but been mainly lurking for a couple of
months.
I've been knitting since my Mum taught me when I was little, unlike a
lot of you I only knit from patterns but I pride myself that given the
pattern I can knit anything.
My Mum has never been able to crochet (except...

Washing wools by
Karen in MN
How do you all wash your wools?
I wash EVERYTHING before putting it together and when I'm finished -- even
though I wash my hands before I pick up my knitting, it's amazing how much
dirt / oil comes out of them when they're washed. I have always
handwashed -- soaked in Woolite, rolled it in a...

One hump or two? by
Every knitting project has a "hump," a point from which you can see the
finish and the going gets easier.
She says to knit 14 inches from start of knitting to beginning of arm
gussets, so I stop and measure my progress every couple of hours. I know it
silly, but I can not help myself. I get into...

Need help with translating this pattern in German by
NKM
Hi,
Came across this beautiful pattern. But since it's in German, it means nothing
to me. I live in UK and hence when anyone kindly offers to translate it for
me, can you please mention which crochet terminilogy you are using - US or UK
or some other.....
Many thanks in advance for your help!

The online groups may have dispersed to other places - maybe Facebook.
SW is also known as 'huck' - but is done with yarn on Monk's cloth 7 stitches per inch with a blunt needle or flat bobkin, while huck is done with floss or perle cotton and a blunt needle on Aida or huck fabric.
Both are...

Seed Stitch--How to count rows by
[email protected]
Good morning! I am new to your groups and pretty new to knitting (4
scarfs, 1 doll blanket and 1 kerchief under my belt so far).
I am making a hooded baby blanket from a pattern I found at JoAnn
