OT Need help with a graduation gift by
Kathy Applebaum
Help! Help!
It just dawned on me that I have about three days to come up with a fabulous
graduation gift for someone who is like a niece to me. She's graduating from
college, and I'd like to get her something small but nice to show that I'm
proud of her.
My mind is a total blank (not unusual!)...

Help! by
[email protected]
I just finished a quilt for my father for Father's Day, and used Sulky
thread for the top quilting. Well, I just ran it through the wash (cold
water, delicate cycle, Dreft detergent) and the thread is running all
over the place! The longer I leave it wet, the more it bleeds. I don't
know what to do...

that a month. Good job!! Okay, so now - I am rebuilding the Hug list from

Joanne Passmore
One of my dearest friend's son is getting married in June 2007 (so I have
lots of time!) He has just become a veterinarian. I would like to make and
hand quilt a queen size quilt for their wedding gift. They love yellows and
blues and are fairly traditional in nature. I would love to have...

OT...to the woman over 40 by
Mary in Washington
Here is a piece written by Andy Rooney - CBS 60 Minutes.
As I grow in age, I value women who are over 40 most of all. Here are
just
a few reasons why:
A woman over 40 will not lay next to you in bed and ask, "What are you
thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.
If a woman over 40 doesn't...

Fun Guild Bus Trip Today by
Bronnie
30 of our guild members enjoyed a bus trip today from our area on the
Gold Coast to Brisbane (state capital 80m north). We descended en masse
on three LQS where coffee, cake and complimentary lunch was laid on. I
picked up some quilting notions and a little fabric; everyone else hoed
in and bought...

OT - A sigh of relief by
ALZ
I've told you all before how anxious I was about my daughter staying
at the Univesity of Delaware for the Summer following the random,
senseless, brutal murder of a classmate. Now, 6 weeks later, an
arrest has finally been made. I know I'll sleep a lot better tonight
and so will the parents of...

First Official "Wonky" by
Tina
I felt sure there would never, ever, be a block I didn't like.
I guess that's a sign of being new, right?
I thought sure, there will be blocks that I might not want to make
again, but surely never a block I just flat don't like.
I have found it! My first block that I don't like. Didn't like...

What Are You Working On?? by
frood
It's been awhile since we've had this post, so here it is. I love reading
about what everyone is working on. I'm amazed at how much some people
achieve, but no matter how prolific, I am always inspired by reading about
other projects.

Next project by

I decided to treat myself today after finishing a planned project and UFO
yesterday. This is the first block. Final size depends on when I run out
of the focus fabric.

glorified UFO by
The Larsons
about 5 years ago I started a glorified 9 patch quilt....I got all the '9s'
sewed together and that was it....instead of using the 'melons' I have
decided to finish the quilt all at once...I am going to cut big circles of
backing and batting and 'fold' them over the '9s' and sew them down...
