anyone still use their vcr? by quilter
I'm cleaning today - well, not really, but wandering aimlessly from room to room thinking about cleaning...I just had a thought: anyone want to trade VCR tapes for fat quarters or scraps? I have donated a lot of videos over the past few years, but still have quite a few left that I'd like to part...

More HUG block photos by Tia Mary
Hi Guys, Finally back from Lizard Land and there was a whopping big pile of HUG blocks for Little Mike's {{{Quilt}}}. I have scanned them and got them posted to the Webshots album. Rusty sent me a HUGE absolutely lovely pieced block that will make a very nice center to the quilt. I'll have to do...

pfaff 1016 by Brian Christiansen
In my regular mail the other day, I got a flyer for a "PFAFF factory truckload sale" sponsored by one of the local vac and sew shops. One of the models advertised was a model 1016 (at least that is the best I can make out their tiny print) for $99, and it says that it usually sells for $299....

Alarmed! my identity taken by joysjane
I am (or was) a member of one other newsgroup for I Love Lucy fans. I hardly ever talk there - even less than here. Anyway, today I happened to read a post and found out someone was answering a post from ME. I hadn't posted anything in a long, long, long time. At least it was a regular post and...

OT I didn't know they did that.... by NightMist
DH went and had his pre-anaesthesia physical today. Other than the hernia he is healthy as horse, slightly perturbing the doctor because he smokes *chuckle*. The odd thing though, is his heart murmmer is gone. He has had a heart murmmer since he was born, and last time he had a physical they were...

Met Bronwyn from Australia! by Megwen Woodham
I've met Bronwyn and her husband too! We met in Bath today, I gave them a quick walking tour of the main sights of the city, we then had lunch in the Pump Rooms and a tour of the Roman Baths. I was squished by Bronwyn and since her DH is not a quilter we did not drop into the LQS, next...

Not real sure what happened to... by Karlee In Kansas
this group. I left this group over a year ago because of all the hate mail, snide remarks, and general bitchy-ness of the group. I had been here for the better part of 5 years when I left. I had taken a year off in there somewhere because of a lack of internet access. I'm a recipient of a HUG. ...

backing fabric by Morag in Detroit
I need some clarification here, please. I have some 108" backing fabric which is really pretty. I'd like to use some of it to piece the top of my quilt. Is that an OK thing to do? I'm not worried about quilt police but I don't want to mess up a nice top with a "wrong" fabric. All advice...
