cooking poly clay - when is it done? by
peter
I followed the instruction and cook the clay for 15 min at 275F. When I
removed it, it is still elastic. Does that mean it's not cooked, or does it
harden after it cools down? I ended up cooking it a few more minutes until
it hardened. But I'm not quite sure if it was necessary.

plastic container numbers by
kellyK
I used to have a list of numbers for plastic containers... those with
certain numbers inside a triangle were ok to store polymer clay, and other
numbers were not ok..the clay would dissolve the plastic. I have looked all
over (even glass attic) and can't find the list. Would someone post it --
it...

KellyK's worthy cause by
Georgia
You may remember KellyK--she posted a week or so ago, looking for clay,
books, etc. for use in the Generations of Hope (
http://www.generationsofhope.org/FAQ.htm) class she volunteered to teach. I
just saw her and gave her a book for the group--she says there are folks
from 12 to 95 in the class,...

Protect painted models by
Neo Hawkeye
Is there any sort of varnish that I can paint over my models to protect
the paint from being scratched off. At the moment it seems to scratch
off a little to easy.
Thanks

Bicone beads turning oval? by
Fenrir Enterprises
Has anyone else experienced some bicone beads wanting to become oval
rather than round? I've been trying to figure out just what causes
this, and I think it has something to do with the softness of the
clay. Sometimes when I make them they come out with a perfect circle
in the center, but others...

Sculpy Clay by
Neo Hawkeye
When painting scuply clay is it best to undercoate it first or just
lots of little layers of the specified colour.
I am painting my first model and so far have put 4 layers of yellow on
and it is still not solid yellow like I would want.
Any advice on painting this clay would be great.

looking to make amber beads by
cat_herder
Hello,
I use to do a lot of polymer clay projects and swaps about 4 -5 years
ago but haven't done anything recently. It's a long story that
involves most of my swaps being destroyed or badly damaged. I just lost
heart after that.
I now have need to make an amber necklace with big chucky amber...

Help, My bird cracked! by

Hi all,
I'm a poly clay newbie and dabbling in a few projects. I tried making a

But my bird got a few long cracks in the main body right after coming out
of the oven. From what I've...

Hi all,
Well, I've finally got enough stuff unpacked and set-up so I can get

course, the rest of the apartment is still mostly a wreck :)
I've put up a couple of albums - the "jewelry" album only has one photo,
so far; and...
