New Here by
Tina
Just wanted to say "Hi" - I'm new here and rather new to quilting. I
have only completed one whole quilt. I started it in November of last
year and gave to my mother for Christmas. (It was just a small lap
quilt, 60x60) It was just simple blocks, 100 of them, and every other
block had photos of...

Free Fabric!!! Goes to the first to respond by
ccsilvania
Hi all:
I've been out of communication lately with the holidays, illnesses and
organizing my sewing room. I am going to go back to teaching sewing and
quilting.
However, when going through my stash I found some Harry Potter fabric and
Blues clues fabric that I will probably never use.
There is...

Hi Mika, My machine is back home and ready for embroidering again. The

Quilt appreciated! :) by
Sandy Foster
I just heard from my step-sister, who received my recently-finished
effort called Réussite via FedEx on Friday. Actually, she called Friday
to thank me, but today she called to tell me that she'd taken the quilt
for a "test-drive" and that it works. LOL! She curled up under it to
watch TV,...

chance to win all blocks , two gets 2, three 3 etc. There are 20 to 30 of
us who participate.
most often the fabric is supplied with the pattern. ...

Tips for matching seams? by
Adella
I'm interested in any tips for matching seams that have been pressed
open. I recently posted a plea for help in pressing Broken Dishes HST's
and the advice from Marcella was very helpful. She suggested pressing
the seams OPEN and that worked beautifully.
However, I have had occasional problems...

Please help, Still shopping for a sewing machine by
Jalynne
A couple months or so ago, I asked you all which machines you liked the best. I've
narrowed the playing field from those suggestions to two, but I'm having a hard time
finding one in my price range. So....I'm looking at a few other options before I
decide to just bide my time. More questions for...

Quilting Week half-Happy Dance by
Sandy Foster
I've had lots of time to sit by the phone for the past several days,
waiting for news of MIL and SIL, both of whom seem to be improving,
thank goodness! While I waited, I worked on the quilt top from the class
I took with Sharyn Craig last Friday. Since I knew I didn't want a large
quilt out of...

Ok Pat, you so wonderfully gave me the right start to getting this

But I am stuck again. I had to make a new butterfly body and now I
have to make another one.
Last night, when I got frustrated and gave up, I left my pieces out on
the table, thinking that maybe if I just...
