Long:Update on the quilt class gone bad by
DQLTS
I took a class at a not so local quilt store in November and it was a
disaster.
Mainly due to the teacher being clickish with the other class members who
were also store employees.
I received a call today from the teacher of that class
she was just looking over her notes and she knows what
she did...

OT To All Queens - and Anyone Else For A Laugh by
NanaV
I was thinking about all the "Queen of...." that we seem to have. I
realized that as little ones, you must have all been Princesses and THAT
made me think of another story.
On Halloween my DGD (age 3 years) was Sleeping Beauty. When she got back
from Trick or Treating, she plunked her little...

Nana V, please email me with your email address. I would like to graph for
you the comment that your granddaughter made on Halloween. That is too
sweet. I know it will forever be a favorite saying in your family and
rightfully so.

OT Jokes of the Day by
Sharon Harper
Jokes of the day - the second may be a bit risque so the more dainty of
y'all should perhaps avoid it. Don't say I didn't warn ya!
A construction boss in Boston was interviewing men when along came a guy
named Vinny from New York. "I'm not hiring any wise-ass New Yorker," the
foreman thought, so...

From frustration to love in 24 hours by
\@ussywillow\ Volfie
Okay, I spent the earlier part of today taking apart my troublesome Hot
Flashes blocks and trying to figure out how to reconstruct them with a
limited fabric supply. Just about the time I was about to throw it all in
and become a couch veg for the day, I decided that I needed to try an...

I'm Finally Back!!! by

Hi everyone. After about a year away, I finally made it back to the group.
I will not be posting much for awhile (until I get caught up on things) -- I
just got my service set up, and there is 5100+ messages listed so I'm going
to be very busy reading for awhile. Even once I'm caught up, I...

A question about applique by
Valerie in FL
Has anyone ever satin-stiched an applique onto a quilt sandwich? It seems to
me that if you want to use satin-stitch, you'd need to do it with just the
quilt top. Then, of course, you'd have quilt around it, which would be a
pain. If I hand stitch the applique, then I can do it on the sandwich...

OT - Good news by
Louise
I can take a deep breath again! DH went into the hospital yesterday for a
total knee replacement, and I've been a bit of a basket case to say the
least. You know how they have to tell you everything that could possibly go
wrong in surgery? Well, I worry about them all in the days leading up to...

Please, if you have a moment, direct good thoughts towards my friend

his mother - she is completely bed bound now, and he is cleaning and
dressing wounds several times a day, plus administering injections 4
times a day. All of...

More S.E.X. in a different city... by
Kate Dicey
Stinky cold from Hell notwithstanding, I did get to the shop today!
Picked up my fixed serger, and 3 and a half m of Warm & Natural needled
cotton batting. James remarked that it was expensive, so Wilf and I
both said it was the best, and did he expect *ME* to buy anything else
for his quilt?
I'm...
