It's OT because I have gone over to the dark side... beading I have been
collecting beads for embellishment purposes for a while now and while trying
(and failing) to find bead patterns for small flowers to embellish a quilt
I have in progress I came across this bracelet pattern and decided to try...

OT - heading home today! by
[email protected]
I know a few people think I disappeared! I did! I meant to post a
Happy Holidays to all -- but time just slipped away.
DH, DS#2 and DS#3 (and me) left on 12/18 for Los Angeles -- where we
boarded a Carnival Cruise for the next 7 days. We returned a day or
two ago and have been visiting with...

signature quilt by
[email protected]
I am planning two signature lap quilts both for women I know who will
be going through chemo to help with the feeling of being cold during
this treatment. I thought I'd have one beige fabric which could be
signed with words of encouragement by close friends of each woman. I
have decided on wildly...

Happy Kissmoose by
Georg
From our basset! He has the endearing habit of sprawling on our couch
on his back. So we added a hat and a "fig leaf". But for those who would
like to see our newest puppy, the 12-year-old Rascal from Basset Hound
rescue.

question about a Christmas tree skirt by
Kiteflyer
Easy to just sketch out on paper round circle size you like. Draw lines
from one edge to the other intersecting in the center and piece with
different fabrics in each pie shape. You could also break up each pie
piece with lots of different sections and use even more fabrics.
Try it, you have...

question about a Christmas tree skirt by
Julia in MN
I made a very simple one about 25 years ago. I cut 3-1/2" squares of
red, green, blue, and yellow fabrics and sewed them together into a
large square. I cut it into a circle, and made an opening to fit around
the tree. I backed it with a piece of an old sheet and tied it with red
yarn. I added...

Stopped by the auto shop tonight on the way to karate.....car is NOT
still in the lot behind the shop, and it wasn't where we saw it last
night (I have been making a habit of driving by since we have to pass
the shop, just to see if there is any progress). Walked up to see if we
could see it...

question about a Christmas tree skirt by
~KK in BC~
:I know, I know it is over, but I like to plan ahead. : For next Christmas,
I want to make a tree skirt. I am sick of using
: an old red house coat that was mine when I was in high school
My mom has a tree skirt that I am going to make next for my own tree, only
it isn't really a tree skirt....

border colour question by
Irrational Number
I think I want two borders - would dark, light,
then dark binding look okay?
The center portion contains black and whites
and various shades of pink and purple. I'm thinking
of a 1" dark purple strip, then a lighter 4-5"
pinkish strip, then a dark purplish binding.
Thanks,
Anita

Anyone tried Sweet 16 Pattern? by
joysjane
I am looking in the back of Quilter's World magazine at an ad for a Sweet 16
pattern. It says it can't get much easier (I'm all for that!!) 1 fq = on
16" block. Super easy border. Crib to king sizes. I can't really tell if
they are cutting it up, (using just one big 16" piece, or like...

Is this still a good address? I would like to get this squishy to you, so

Backing for String Quilt? by
dogmom
I'm making a big (about 110" x 99") string quilt, sewing the strings onto
muslin squares so it'll be heavy. Dogs and cats will sleep on it as we sleep
under it, so it's going to be a hard-working quilt. What would be best to
back it and/or use for batting? I don't plan to quilt it any more than...
