Sock Yarn Sale by
Spike Driver
http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2948&PRODID=xprd687579
The yarn above is the last sock yarn I used. I worked up great! It
wears well and is washable. Let me know if you like it. At $4.00 a
skein we can afford to make socks again.

What are you working on? by
Shillelagh
I've just started a really cute bag which will be fulled (felted) shortly,
and will post pictures and a link in a couple of days. The original
"recipe" called for Noro Kuryon (yarite) and Techno Hair (which must be
available only in Antarctica). So I have substituted any blue/green/pink
fullable...

My new project by
Craftkitten
Hi
Well I am like everyone else here and have way too many projects on the
go but right now I am working on something that is a lot of fun. I am
working on Izzy Dolls that will be spent overseas and given to children
by Canadian soliders.
I have just started this project but know that it is...

Apology for my trivia post by
Brian D
Hi Noreen:
Geesh, must be my server, I missed your trivia post. I can't imagine it
being mindless though!
If I were you I'd chalk it up to...."to each his/her own"!
Wishing you all the best.

Fiber Trends Felted Clogs by
Shillelagh
Has anyone used this pattern?
I had heard the unfelted slippers were really big, and can verify this. I
made a pair for DH, and am appalled at the finished felted size! I had
worsted weight wool which felts just fine, but I think the unfelted size of
the slippers is way too big. I am just...

Subversiv syslöjd rides again! by
Erin
Hej everybody!
I haven't posted in a while, but I've been reading the group regularly
even if I haven't contributed. I have held my second "subversive
sewing" workshop/thingie though at a local gaming convention. A friend
told me "the best thing about this is that we can do whatever we...

CHEAP Fabric by
[email protected]
Does anyone know where to find discounted fabric. I was looking at some
Kravets and Robert Allen fabrics and I cannot find anything under $100.
If anyone knows of a place to look, i would really appreciate the

Thank you Nora / Reply to All by
Rusty
I was one of the ones who hit Reply to All when I sent my email to
Nora, thanking her for the work she had done on the comfortghan. I
wanted to share my feelings of appreciation with the gals who had also
participated in the project.
Nora takes care of the projects from beginning to end - she...

OT important cancer info by
Els van Dam
Hello everyone, I received this letter from our youngest daughter and know
that some of you may have gotten this information already (I have seen it
on the news about half a year ago), however it is so important as well as
basic, that I thought it good to pass it on again.

Washing wool sweaters by
GSHEPDOG
Hi:
I am been visiting thift stores in search of good wool sweaters. (I don't buy
them new since if one of the dogs puts a hole in a new wool sweater, I would be
mad. If they put a hole in a $5 wool sweater, I am not mad.) Anyway found
three wool sweaters plus another sweater that is gorgeous...

letter from Gemini, special attn: Mirjam by
norma woods
Hi Norma,
I just read that filth about Mirjam on the newsgroup and was so enraged that
someone would say such horrible things about such a sweet and loving person
as Mirjam. Please assure her that I have sent a complaint to the disgusting
SOB's server. I hope he loses his Internet access... but...

In-laws by
SlinkyToy
I don't know if I should be flattered or irritated. At the family GTG
yesterday my SIL (the lobbyist - one step below congresscritter but I
love her anyhow) asked if she could buy socks from me to give as
Christmas gifts. She wants a dozen pair - I told her I *might* be
able to turn out 3 pair by...

Saturday afternoon by
Shillelagh
Well, here it is, the middle of November, and not a snowflake in sight.
This is very unusual for the prairies in Canada. We usually have snow by
Hallowe'en. Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining. It's weird to see
green grass on the septic field and DH is actually talking about trying to
get...

Hi from newbie by
Liz
Hi everyone
I'm not new to knitting as I learned when I was about 9 or 10, but I'm new
to this board. You seem a very warm and friendly bunch of people! I have
been lurking for a while and have learned an awful lot, and developed a
large favourites folder entitled 'knitting' with many sub-folders...

To: Anna Maria: Help with Italian crochet instructions by
B Vaughan
I have a crochet magazine from Diana Millelavori that has a stitch I
don't know. This pattern calls for mezzo punto alto, punto alto, punto
alto doppio and "punto alto fantasia". I've never heard of "punto
alto fantasia" and can't figure out what it might be. In the photo it
doesn't look...

A cup of coffee with my friends by
Noreen's Knit*che
Hi Group!
Thought I'd sit at the computer for a little while, read YOU, and enjoy a
cuppa coffee (or tea) WITH you, my friends.
My schedule has been really erratic, knitting here, crocheting there,
tatting some, working on bobbin-lace, teaching knitting, getting ready
for my display at the County...
