and a close-up with the quilting visible: http://tinyurl.com/j3la5
My machine quilting still leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm very
pleased with how it came out.

Quilting Angel WH done. by
C&S
Snig, I am so sorry to read about your friend's illness. I will keep her in
my thoughts. The WH is really sweet. I like the bright colorful look to
it, so cheerful! Did you photograph the WH on another quilt or are the
surrounding blocks part of the WH? Thanks for sharing

Surprise S.E.X! by
Kate Dicey
I got to pay an unexpected trip to the Hobbycraft shop today, so I did a
teeny bit of spendy things...
Bought a rather nice Burda skirt pattern: pieced in odd places, very
effective! :)
Got a couple of reels of YLI S9ft Touch cotton thread: very fine and
dandy, in scarlet and white. If the red...

Class Samples by
frood
I just did a mock-class with Miss Fussy Rose as my student. In this class,
an introduction to the sewing machine, the children (ages 8-12) will make a
paper card with a fabric insert. I'd like to have a sample for the shop to
show to prospective students. I was planning to use the card Miss Fussy...

service?

What color? by
KJ
What color is your sewing room? I'll be hauling everything out of mine soon
in order to reorganized for a new table. I have some wall patching to do
where a self installed bookshelf decided to commit suicide and fall off the
wall. So I might as well paint everything since it will be years before...

Pi quilts article in Science News Online by
Roberta Zollner
Very cool! Could be done for any large number or series of numbers. Or one
could take a random scrap quilt and run it through the other way to generate
a number.

Hi Hi!
The rain dances have finally worked....we have been getting off and on
heavy-ish rains for at least the last 12 hours and are expected to off
and on the next several days from all I can gather from the weather
reports....
This has knocked back our temps and our fire danger -- also...

Baby Quilt almost Happy Dance by

I finished this top yesterday. The backing will be red and white stripe
with the binding the same. I used my stash for the pieces and my embroidery
machine for the snowball designs. I even digitized the "green eggs" square
myself. Just wanted to...
