I'll be seeing you all soon when I'm in my new home. I'm in the middle of
packing now, just taking a break. When the computer is up and going again,
I'll be talking to you again!

ABC is showing a made for TV movie, Desperation. Not one of his better
works, IMO, but should be better than a lot of current TV fare.

pattern help please... by
JJMolvik
http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTsoleil.html
I am having curling trouble like nobody's business with this. If I purled
the first row, instead of knit, would it lay flat? Maybe? Help........
Also, I am trying to decide if it is worth trying as I am all ready 1/2 way
through the second (of...

Waving to the brave! by
YarnWright
Hey, as Shelagh said, she's going to continue here, as are a few others,
and I'm adding MY 'me-too' post!
Carry on, knit on, crochet on, spin on, to blazes with the droll trolls.
We're tougher than they are, after all, the best part of them dripped down
their mama's leg, and they were obviously...

new crochet book recommendation by
craftydragon1951
I got a new crochet book from Amazon today: "200 Crochet Blocks for
Blankets, Throws and Afgans" by Jan Eaton. The blocks are beautiful
and she uses colorways that I would never occur to me -- but they work.
The 200 is a bit of an exageration as she counts 1 block done in
different colorways as...

How many shafts on a Rigid Heddle Loom? by
[email protected]
Hi everyone,
I am a total novice at weaving but already spin, dye and knit and am
keen to learn :) I want to start out on something like the Kromski
harp, a RHL, but don't know a whole lot about their capabilities. Is
it possible to do more complex patterns, like 4 or 8 shafts, on a RHL?
Will...

WIPs, tip for today, blather by
Wooly
Jawoll socks. First sock is done, second is languishing. I have PADD
(project attention deficit disorder) and get distracted by other
things.
The "Shaped Triangle" shawl from _A Gathering of Lace_. I happened to
have the required yarn in the stash and I felt like making something
non-wooly. My...

Sunday AM: coffee, RCTY and blog-surfing by
YarnWright
Good morning RCTY-ers!
Mirjam's already done the first Sunday morning post, but I too wanted to
post the almost-expected Sunday AM wave of the cup/mug!
I've been woefully neglecting my own blog, much less reading other's these
past two weeks, so after reading through the few posts here, will go...

Good morning by
busymum
I don't post here very often, but do read the mails. I've been busy
with a course that I am on, it is due to finish next month. Got only
one more assessment to do - and it's the hardest one of all.
Now to knitting content. I've been trying to NOT start anything new,
but failed at that quite...

Knitting a tie for my dad by
deMoMo
Hello everyone -
I have been pretty scarce, but have definitely been doing some knitting,
including taking some classes! I have also learned to crochet, and am
working on an afghan that is a neat pattern, and very, very easy to pick
back up after working on other projects.
Anyway, the reason for...

RCTYers in Northern Illinois by
[email protected]
Hello Friends,
Just wondering how many RCTYers are in northern Illinois or eastern
Iowa. I go see my daugher, Tammy and John and of course Ava and
Max!!!! They live in Davenport Iowa.
I have been a little busy and hope I have not missed any special days.
Things have been a little better with...

The Sock Saga Continues by
Joy
Well, I've made some definite progress. My elbow is improving, and I
am able to knit with a support brace. I worked for a while with the
sock looms I purchased and didn't like the results, but I think I
learned some things, so I've been playing around with techniques,
numbers, etc. the past...
