Back for a bit of a visit - thanks Aud for suggestion by
David R. Sky
Just dropping in for a quick 'hi there you all', and to Aud on the Island
(I'm pretty sure it was you who suggested it) - today for the first time I
went to Birkeland Brothers on Main St. here in Vancouver where I picked up a
large skein of deliciously soft coral merino & acrilyc wool, an afghan...

Blocking linen yarn? by
Laura M
Greetings all,
I am working on a lovely pattern using linen yarn. However, it is
working up a tad wider and not as tall as I would like. Ordinarily,
with wool yarn, this wouldn't bother me as I would block it to the
appropriate size. Does anybody know if this will work similarly with
linen...

One hump or two? by
Every knitting project has a "hump," a point from which you can see the
finish and the going gets easier.
She says to knit 14 inches from start of knitting to beginning of arm
gussets, so I stop and measure my progress every couple of hours. I know it
silly, but I can not help myself. I get into...

It's really too bad by

that we have allowed a sporger to wreck our Usenet group. I'm one of the
few (I guess) who doesn't like format of web based groups, so I'll continue
to post here to the few who are left. It's too bad we just didn't continue

Well, since...
