AD: Autumn Leaves A'flutter Lampwork by
Susan B.
I've just posted a set of beads that are cheering me up on this snowy
morning (yep- you heard me right - snow!!!). I've been playing with
laying down my glass somewhat differently - part of the legacy of my
glassblowing classes - and trying to be more painterly in my approach.
I think this set...

OT - my email is broken AGAIN! GRRRRRR by
Kalera Stratton
I can read but not reply... ARGH this is driving me CRAZY!
Karen, I got your email but I can't send my reply... I was going to have
Moxley look at it as soon as he gets home (tomorrow... he's in Seattle
playing a show) but in the meantime, I can't make it do more than one at
a time either!...

Best source for...? by
Helen Page
Hi peeps,
Halfway though a necklace the other day I ran out of 6mm Bali-style daisy
spacers. Where's the best place for these spacers? I'll be buying a
reasonable amount, I love using them. I've looked on the Links List but
there's no way of telling who sells them and who doesn't, and I didn't...

Kathy -- Threading and Findings by
BeckiBead
If you ever get the desire, I would be interested in seeing how you are
threading things to make your own findings. That is the most exciting thing I
have heard in a long time. I love handmade findings, and would like to learn
more ways to make some. Thanks.

My RAW bracelet class by
JL Amerson
Well, this afternoon I taught a RAW bracelet class over at Ben Franklin
Crafts. I taught it there the other month and we used the glass bicones they
had in stock. I talked to the woman who heads up the classes there and got
her hooked on Swarovskis. She in turn went to the store owner. They now...

didn't get all the right colors but I'm pretty excited about it.. it's taken
me like 2 years to get it done!!! It's a Christmas present. I'm...

mostly bought pearls, with a few hanks of seed beads and some gemstone
focals. I took my sister along with me, and she's interested in
learning how to do a bit of beadwork now. ahh, how the addiction is so
easily spread..just get...

clay tumbling question by
Carla
Candace's post about buying Sculpey reminded me of a couple of questions
I wanted to ask any clay artists here who tumble their beads.
Do you prefer grit or sandpaper? And why?
How do you keep translucent clay from discoloring?
Is there a way to get rid of fingerprints without tumbling? Maybe...

OT -- Moving and Chickens and Stuff by
BeckiBead
I have also discovered, tonight, a recently undiagnosed shower curtain fetish.
I found at least six of them, all white, battenberg lace, various styles (two
fake battenberg ones). LOL. I only have one shower and one bathroom and have
only had one in every apartment where I have lived.
