YBR quilting suggestions needed by
Gail M.
Hi all,
I'm hoping the many folks who have done Yellow Brick Road quilts
will have some suggestions for quilting designs. I'm making this
for a friend's baby shower on Sunday 20 July. (!!) Fortunately my
current writing contract has been slightly delayed, so I should have
a couple of almost-full...

ybr question by
Carissa[_3_]
Hi all, I have a lovely YBR I have made here but before I completely
finished it seems my happy children recylced my pattern :( As this was a kit
and I already messed up enough times, I was hoping to at least get this last
part right. The kit came with enough fabric for the border and th...

YBR question by
Judie[_3_]
I haven't quilted in over a year and am trying to make a quick YBR quilt
for a granddaughter who is getting married in just a few months. I have
used this pattern before but years ago now. I got the revised edition
this time since I remembered having some sort of problem with the older
version...

YBR patterns corrections ? by
Kay Ahr[_2_]
A few years back I bought the Yellow Brick Road pattern. I recall (an urban
myth?) that the first run of patterns had an error.
Sound familiar to anyone?
How I would I know if I had the "bad" pattern? Does anyone have the
correction?

YBR - before I cut by
Queen of Squishies
After I square and trim the white edges off my washed fq's, will that still
leave me enough to cut all my shapes? How close is this pattern?

Yay, my hands are back to work!!! by
Sunny[_2_]
Thank goodness!!! I fired up my sewing machine for the first time in
almost a month. I have five baby quilts waiting to be designed, cut,
sewn and quilted. All but one of the babies is already here. I have a
good bit of time before the fifth, but it's the most special of all.
So last night I...

Yay!!! Borders are on! Thank you all! by
hfw
Well, I am one happy camper. The borders are ON! (and yes, pics are up!) The
narrow yellow got reduced further, to a thin piping. I'm going to have to
doctor the corners a bit because I attached the piping to the border rather
than the quilt (no idea why, guess I didn't think it through very well),...

Yay!! Piecing away at hubby's birthday present....FINALLY!! by
off kilter [email protected]
Ok, I have the magazine that I got the pattern from, but not with me
right this minute. However, I had planned to make this last year.
Anyway, it's a HUGE Mariner's Compass and right now, I'm on border #4
out of 7 or 8. I have the 2 sides done and have measured the other
sides so that I can...

Yay! top is quilted by
Marigold
Ok, my Orange Crush Mystery top is quilted, now I need to piece the borders
but I'm so happy to have this much done. I quilted it in 3 sections -
quilting 1 then adding the next and quilting it. When I added my next
sections, I stitched the new top piece on thru all layers. I think next time
I...

Yay! I'm quilting! by

Well - piecing, but that's getting there, right???
I've always been a fan of Bonnie Hunter's quiltville.com and often go there
just to see what's new and feel inspired. Course I've always been a fan of
scrap quilts, and I'd say "Yep, someday".
Well, some months ago Bonnie started a mystery quilt...

Yay! A new baby on the way! by

Well I was worried it would take a long time to happen but it happened
on the first try!
I am one of those people who just couldn't have taken trying month
after month for even 6 months let alone years, thankfully I didn't have
to find out if I could have managed through it or not!
I already have...

YAY! Mythical Horses are here! by

Already!
I made my eQuilter.com order on Sun. morning and my fabric arrived here in
NC today. The fabric is splendid! I really like the panel better than I
thought I would. It all just jumps with possibilities. Anyone else get
theirs yet? I got the horizontal and vertical stripes, and...

Yay! by
Sunny[_2_]
The quilt that Tish and I worked so frantically on was sold for $100
at auction, this despite not being in the brochure of items for
auction. The overall auction made $8,000. Another event, a silent
auction, is planned and she asked to keep the wallhanging for that. No
problem.
So Tish and I are...

post op visit shows that bones stayed aligned....it's only been 11
days, but yay!!
We go back on the 11th, and I'm wondering about the removal of the
splint and back to a long cast...which is what the doc mentioned. I'm
thinking that it might be better for her to stay in the plaster for 4
