Threaded
Greetings All -
My DD is going to Japan in the next couple of months, and I was wondering if
sending along fibers would be of any worth to a host family. Not knowing
much in advance of what anyone does, I thought maybe some of the Kreinik
metallics or Rainbow Gallery fuzzies would be fun. If...

Using beads by
Needleworker
I'm about to start a xstitch piece that has beads. I was going to simply
use a half cross stitch to attach them. Perhaps going into the hole
twice. Does anyone else have a suggestion of the best way to do this?

OT re Not on your Nellie by
Jan Lennie
Found this definition
NOT ON YOUR NELLIE! (OR NELLY) - " 'Not on your life!' An intensive tag,
dating since the late 1930s. Used by, e.g., Frank Norman in his very
readable 'Bang to Rights,' 1958. Short for 'not on your Nellie Duff!'; and
'Nellie Duff' rhymes on 'puff,' breath, breath of life, life...

Hi, I'm planning a short trip to St. Louis. Is the

been able to get through to their website, which I have
in my files as www.firstandlast.com -- anyone know if that's
right? Is Clayton a good place to stay to visit the

Dimensions charts by
Pat Porter
I am doing a simply beautiful chart called "Elegant tapestry" - but swear I
will never buy a Dimensions kit again.
Basically I hate kits anyway, but my main grouse is that there are so many
similar symbols in different colours - but the colours themselves aren`t
different enough (blue, grey,...

CSB moving to Brussels by
Rachel Janzen
So yesterday was my birthday, and my cross stitch buddy calls me to wish
me a happy birthday. Of course in the 3 plus years since she moved away,
this was the first time she had called. So I was surprised to say the
least. She had a couple big annoucements, one concerning a cross stitch
design...

Firehouse Angel has arrived! by
Pat Lerch
The angel has arrived safe and sound. Due to other committments, I won't be
able to start stitching on her until Saturday, but I plan to spend most of
the weekend on her. She is really turning out to be a thing of beauty. My
only regret is that, because I'm working on her early in the process,...

Please can any computer geek help? by
Pat Porter
It`s not OT - I`m trying to change some needlework files, but when I try to
save it I get the nasty little message that I do not have permission to
copy/alter the file. I checked the properties and the "read only" box is UN
checked. Any ideas, please. (Running Microsoft ME).

OT - garden stuff by
Cheryl Isaak
Well it finally feels like spring!
First Monday I got to share the joy a little - I brought yarrow (Summer
Pastels) divisions in to plant with my daughter's kindergarten class. Nearly
everyone dug into the bagged soil and happily planted a piece or two of
yarrow for a Mother's Day present. One...

Lovely evening by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Hi everyone!
You never guess what happened last night. There I sat in a
swing in our yard. Listened some cassettes and stitched
away. Awww...Such a lovely evening. But I knew that the
darkness will fall, and I came in before that. But anyway I
sat there quite long time, and oh boy, did the time...
