Grommets and edging questions by
SteveB[_7_]
I am repairing a pretty good shadecloth I had custom made about five years
ago. The thread detereriorated, and the edging and some grommets pulled
out. I was able to repair some of it by using some new cloth. But on the
corner grommets, three pulled out completely, and the edging and cloth is...

Hi All,
Does anyone know whether the cutting blade can be moved out of the way or
removed so that the overlocker does not cut the fabric as I overlock?!?

Altering a mens dress shirt by
Mike
Hello All~
I was just curious - I have quite a few dress shirts that are a tad too
big on me - but I still like the shirts. I was just curious as to how
easy it would be to alter them into a size that fits me better - i.e.
altering one from a 16 down to a 15 - I'm mainly just concerned with

looking for an old type fabric by
Kitty[_2_]
Hi, in the seventies I used to make my nightgowns out of a cotton
fabric with narrow bands of flat fabric and narrow bands of bubbled
fabric between them. It often came with small roses printed on it.
That fabric was THE BEST for nightgowns, but I haven't seen it in
years. My sister thinks it is...

Roger Peters
If you have an old Kenmore Model 90 sewing machine I have a manual, circular
attachment, cams, buttonhole attachements, etc. you can have. I don't have
this machine and have held on to them. All I ask is for you to pay the
postage cost for shipping.
Thanks,

What should I make by
binh
I received a lot of upholstery grade fabric samples made by Malden
Mills from a very generous lady. The fabrics are mostly velvet. Now
I need ideas on what to make. The samples are either 2ft or 1ft
squares, and there are probably 100 of them! First off, I'm going to
piece the larger pieces...

Just put piping around the edge, and wrap the canvas around the foam and
staple it under the plywood base. What type of foam would be best to use

Need a new machine, but which one? by

Hi, everybody. I last bought a sewing machine in 1982, a trusty Pfaff 1463.
It's time to buy something new, but which one? Are there any brands that are
made sturdier and better than the others? I need a machine that will be able
to work on fabrics for making new seat covers for a '79 Prelude as...
