Kari
I'm looking for the US Navy fabric that Hancock's had a year or two ago. It
has a navy background with 1 1/2 inch Official Seal of the US Navy on it.
Anyone have some they are willing to part with or know where i can get some?
Thanks!

Ellie C
I'm going to try to make a window seat cover from a very worn oriental
rug. I'm planning on cutting the best part of it. I welcome advise on
what to attach it for its underside; if it can be hand sewn ( I doubt
my machines could handle it); what kind of thread and needles to use;
seam allowances...

valences for child's room by
Myrna
I'm considering making valences for a child's room. I have the Sunset
book that all of you recommended but I've been hesitant to try it.
First question: the theme is Finding Nemo. Can I buy the fabric that
I've seen in the local stores or do I need something better? Basically
I'm wondering if Wal...

Value for used sewing machine by
Gemini
I have a Bernina 153 Artista that I've used sporadically over the past
5 years or so. I want to upgrade to a newer machine and it's been
suggested that I might do better than blue book value by not trading it
in but by selling outright. I have a friend intersted in purchasing,
but there are none...

Velvet - The Fabric Of Fall by
[email protected]
The history of velvet is somewhat fuzzy, but the first English
reference to it was in 1278, when a king's tailor purchased the fabric
in Paris for the kings bed. More than 700 years later you don't have
to be a king to afford to wear velvet.
You're seeing it everywhere, in every shade. Carefully...

How do you use sewing patterns? I have 3 daughters and two of the
