how to on woodcarving by
sbeep
Hi, I have always been interested in wood carving as long as I can
remember. I just don't know where to begin. If anyone could help me as

know about this topic I would appreciate it.
Thanks

I'm a serial killer and I have dozens of fine human skulls left in my cellar.
Can I use the skulls to carve fine objects or should I throw them away ?

Did someone mention... Gourds? by
editor_gourdvine
Hi there!
I see that Google has it's Groups thing going (Beta), so I figured I'd
see if anyone had started a Gourd Group. Apparently not.. yet. But a
search brought up this group and others, and so I thought I'd introduce
myself.
I'm Vince, and in late 2002 I began a full-color print magazine...

Anyone Carving Foam? by
GaryR52
As in expanded polystyrene (EPS) or polyurethane foam, that is. I'm planning
to give this a try as a core material for fiberglass sculpture. Also, it can
be finished with a number of other materials, including Design Cast
(http://www.design-cast.com/index.php).

stone carving tools by
jacob
Just having a go at stone carving using hard local limestone; 'hopton
stone'. Proper 'stone mason's' tools are expensive but builders chisels
and tools are cheap. Is it a good idea to use cheap SDS chisels instead
- either old ones hit with lump hammer or just used in the SDS drill in
hammer...

Wildfowl Carving Magazine by
New Carver
Does anyone know if Wildfowl magazine is going out of business?
Vendors have dropped the magazine from their counter and the Wildfowl
Magazine Web site has not been updated for the fall.
Sent e-mail to the company and have not had a response.

How to carve human bones and teeth??? by
Victor Smootbank
I'm a cannibal and next week, on Halloween, I'll cook
three humans for our annual witches and warlock gathering.
There'll be a lot of bones and teeth after our feast and I
want to carve some magical amulets and figurines.
How can I carve human bones? How to carve human teeth?
What kind of knife...

I was trying to sell stuff on ebay and I just couldn't handle all the fees.
At You've Made It! we charge $1.00 for each item you sell. No other fees.
Nothing to list items, nothing to open an account, no percentage of final
sale taken. This site is brand new, and I would really like to get...

caouselhorse by

Anyone have a good suggestion/outlet for a full-sized carousel horse. The
horse is in progress & at this rate it will be some time before it is
completed, if ever. Just wondering what to do with it once it is finished.

Commissions... by
Kringle
Good Morning!
I have some designs that I might be interested in having commissioned.
The artist(s) selected would be paid accordingly.
I would like to see examples of prior work performed.
I'm especially interested in gnomes, faeries, and woodland plants and
creatures.

Japanese chisels in Grizzly catalog by
[email protected]
I saw in the Grizzly catalog a set of 12 japanese carving chisels for
$40. I also saw a set of 12 Grizzly brand carving chisels for $60. How
good are these? Seems like they could be better than the $10 sets of
chinese chisels but less expensive than the famous name brands.
