Meet Up!!! by
Ginger in CA
After oh! so many years here, Taria and I met up today, at the Long Beach Quilt show. O, what a good time we had! Lots of oohing and aahing at the quilts, drooling over color choices and patterns, applauding the level of imagination and creativity. We decided there is not much new on the market...

local group challenge by
Pat on the Green
I mentioned a local group challenge in a post a few days ago. I was
goikng to describe it. Ginger slightly misunderstood and said that she
would welcome a challenge. So, I thought I would describe it anyway,
and see if there was any interest. I will simplify the'design' (leave
it to you)...

HUG BLOCKS if you are interested.... by
Kate in MI[_3_]
Well -- kind of a HUG.
Jo in Scotland often posts pictures of little Tristan (who is growing
rapidly!) on Facebook. We are having great fun watching him grow. He so
loves his purples and his Mama's quilts and fabric... we're doing a little
HUG block shower just for Tristan.
So if you'd like...

Craftsy? by
Marcella Peek
Hi!
Have any of you all tried classes with Craftsy? I have taken a few (free
ones and paid ones) and very much enjoyed them.
For my birthday they sent me a discount code for the class of my choice.
But what to choose?
Any recommendations?

Has anyone here made one? I bought a book from 1983 about it, and I'm
gearing up to make one. If you've made one, please can you share
pictures of it?

Use for Postcard Sleeves? by
Susan Laity Price
While cleaning and rearranging my studio I found a package of plastic
Postcard Sleeves (3 11/16" x 5 3/4"). I know I bought them for
something to do with quilting but can't remember what was the intended
purpose. Anyone have any ideas?

What a difference a year makes! by
Jennifer in Ottawa
I remembered a post from Betsy regarding the Accuquilter system. I had replied that it seemed expensive for the dyes, etc and that she would probably be better off applying the retail price towards her sewing machine that was on layaway. I have changed my mind because of medical reasons!

Looking for fabric... by

Hello all,
does any of you know of a fabric with cat motifs which cover an area of
about 4 inches/10 cm square? I'm looking for a new 'centrepiece' for a quilt
for DD. I had planned to make her one in the Chinese Coins pattern with
larger inserts or 'medallions' (if that is the correct term for...

Binding query... by

Hello!
I recently decided to finish an ancient Asian Style lap quilt. I do mean ancient! The lap quilt was started in 2002. All the blocks were made but I just never cut the strips for the skinny and wide borders. Nor did I cut and make the bias binding.
Fast forward to present day...
