Figures (not dolls) for 1" scale by
Herb
zombie wrote:
Where can you find 1" scale figures that are realistic looking?
I'm talking about figures that would be along the line of model
soldiers and fantasy gaming miniatures but in 1" scale. I am always
dissatisfied with figures that I see that use real fabric and such.

Building a Child's Dollhouse - Additional Advice? by
robert stephens
Howdy!
So, I'm going to build a dollhouse for my 5 year old (will be 6 just
after Christmas) daughter for Christmas. I want to build from scratch,
partially because I really enjoy the design part of the building, and
because I do want it to be something _I_ made. Also, this is something
my dad did...

How to make printables? by
Kathy
I want to learn how to make printable projects. I have a scanner, a
digital camera, & Paint Shop Pro. I have no clue how to shrink images
down without losing detail, tried, with miserable results. I just want
to make things to play with myself, & share for free. I don't need to
make commercial...

but sorting out room sizes, furniture sizes, WIRING LOOM and switches,
making 27 working windows plus doors, access to the house, what scale to

building material by
Glen Sayers
I see most people use plywood for their houses. It makes no difference to me
from the point of view of machining but it seems for my house, which will
have no exposed timber, that mdf board would give a better painted finish.
Is their any particular reason not to use it?
Cheers

using mdf by
Mo en Jacky
making electricity in a house made from MDF is a bit dificult.
I always dril it, before I place the nail, I use a very smal drilbit, 0.4
done like that its very easy.

at the risk of sounding stupid. by
Glen Sayers
Tap wire?
brads?
I think there's more to be learnt.
I've worked with ply for decks on models and it's harder to machine than
MDF. That said I would worry that a) MDF gives way around the corners and b)
swells badly if it ever gets wet.
But what are the two things you mentioned above. Is that...
