What in the procedure for stitching in the ditch? Where would I start to
make it the easiest? And would I use the walking foot? I am doing some
'forward planning"!
Thanks.

organising scraps by
Anne Rogers
I don't have that many, so I've not organised them, but I'm getting to the
point where if I don't do it soon, it will become a big job. How do others
do it? I'm unsure whether to go for just primary and secondary colours and
put tertiaries into whatever is nearest. What about light/medium/dark...

Prayer/Good Thought Request/ by
Tina
My dear friend Jane passed on yesterday morning. I am happy for her
relief from suffering, the cancer had taken over her body.
I'm sorry I have been so out of touch with everyone lately. Far too
much going on here currently and I just haven't been able to keep up
with it all. The loss of Jane...

this board. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!
I am often asked how they can help...

New quilt finished by
John
As promised, Here are two pics of the newest quilt. It is an Irish
double chain. One view shows it on the bed and the other shows it in
place on the rack at the foot of the bed. There is a bolster in place,
which houses some extra pillows. That was made from leftover fabric
from the main bed quilt....

The wash/don't wash question again by
Jan
Because the quilt I'm starting has so many different fabrics in it I prefer
to skip the prewashing process. A couple of the fabrics have been tested
for color bleeding and will be treated with Retayne to prevent any more
bleeding. My question is does it make any difference if some fabrics in...

Help Please fabric gift boxes by
Cats
Not so long ago someone posted pictures of some gorgeous
little favour boxes made of fabric. They were beaded and
embroidered.
The thread included links to other box designs for similar
items. I have searched and Googled but I can't find them.
Grateful if anyone can help by pointing me in...

Border how to by
steve
Hello all
My insanity continues as I teach, take 8 credits of computer classes to
learn the software I am required to teach with, and get myself and my
students ready for state competition, of which I organize the contest part.
Sleep is a greatly desired rarity.
Anyways, on top of all of this...

OT cooking question - too much heat by
polly esther
I made a nice pot of soup today; it's chilling and waiting for tomorrow.
Meanwhile, please help me. I added a can of original Rotel which I assumed
(yes, I know) was not as hot as the others. Mercy. Wonder what I can add
to the soup to absorb some of that heat? Potatoes? Rice? some cotton...

OT Weather by
Cats
For those of you freezing -
we nudged a balmy 46 degrees here today on the edge of the
Wimmera. Of course that's centigrade! so about 115F on the
"old" scale. A "cool" change has just blown in and the temp
has dropped to a more bearable 36C/97F in the past half
hour. Hopefully it will...

I've put up pictures of my pieced and paper-pieced Feb. blocks. I'll
be glad to finish with March's blocks so that maybe I can get this
quilt together in time to be a Mother's Day gift for my mom.

Rotary blades are sharp by
Pat in Virginia
Well, DUH!! This is a public service announcement. When
you are handling your rotary cutter, please remember
that the blade is sharp. This is true even if you are
using a circle cutter with teeny tiny blades. Those
cute little blades are capable of cutting at least two
fingers!! So, be...
