Any knitters? by BDS2pds
I now need an aran knit cardigan pattern for a man . I finally was able to find the oiled wool today and now can start this xmas present if someone can find me a pattern. Does no one knit any more? No knitting shops or hardly any yarn out there today which really shocked me.

33350-375 Antique Letters A-Z Lanarte by BDS2pds
Found the number so perhaps easier to find it. Anyone know about this or the big kit that had the entire alphabet on it?

silk thread painting by BDS2pds
I am really really really enjoying working on this project the more I get into it. I have worked many hours and yet to finish the first flower. It is a delight to watch it form. After doing needlework for almost 30 years, I never imagined I would find something "new" much to me any more. This is...

silk painting by BDS2pds
Oh thank you for your kind words but I can never leave a "piece" alone. The suggestions had 25 or so stitches repeated over and over so I added the other 60 myself so no stitch repeated much. I did stick with the suggested DMC coloration as it fit perfectly for what I am doing but translated that...

aging and needlework ability by BDS2pds
I had the surprise of my life this week when I came to the realization that at some point the quality of my work will diminish. There are many different levels of ability and came to the shock that work by someone that is rather shabbily done in her old age was nothing like piece I now saw when...

sampler estimate by BDS2pds
My MIL is hoping I can find out if a sampler from 1853 would be valuable. She has it in her family.

needle threader by BDS2pds
I am so sorry friends. I sent you astray! Clover is the company that makes this needle threader I was speaking of yesterday! Sorry to Lula and the rest!!! For some reason Hancocks had all the EZ Quilting stuff on display with this in it. I finally looked on the item and it is CLOVER. Here is...

Friendship tea cloth by BDS2pds
Well I spent the weekend pondering and pondering on recreating the 27 count 40 inch tea cloth with the wonderful Friendship sayings on it. What would I use it for? Then it hit me!!! I am making a miniature of it for the colonial doll (Felicity) I am buying for the grandgirls when here. On 32...

Lanarte antique alphabet by BDS2pds
Would anyone know how to find charts of the alphabet letters done originally separately--and are they gorgeous- by Lanarte? I am trying to find them in the States. They were called antique letters ....they came one letter per pack. Example to see: first in list on this page called Antique...

Eterna Silk by BDS2pds
Also could you have seen the item please tell me the difference between mini twist, stranded, and silk twist. I am using it for surface crewel work and it has to cover the fabric well.

Jacobean Tree of Life by BDS2pds
I just wanted to thank you all for your help but might just have to buy the DMC kit to get the pattern to trace to linen twill to do the project! What a waste. I have found none I like better than the Roseworks version. I am looking for a VERY detailed wool crewel kit that looks pretty much...

Will this cover fabric like DMC floss? Wondering if I can needle paint with it. Anywhere to buy a kit of all of them?

Mary Beale by BDS2pds
Any of you sampler ladies know where a chart for her tea cozy can be gotten--obviously long out of print..... She was guessing the title to be something like "A Memorable Tea"-- never seen it and doing it blind.

My IOU Christmas sweater done and sent! by BDS2pds
Yippee!!! Now I have half of a quilt to do and my hubby's sweater. By the way, the yarn came-- Gatsby yarn by Classic Elite we spoke of a few weeks back, and it is well worth the extra money. It is nice. I wish I would have had a good view of the yarns and would have gone gray instead of brown...

OT knitting gauge by BDS2pds
Hi; this is for any knitter experts we have in here. I am making a lovely double collar vest job that is delightful for Christmas and it is THE one she wants but is in medium size instead of small like she needs. The lady at the knit shop told me that to figure out the width you take the number...
