Binding Off Sweater Neck by
CreativeCouple
Knitting a sweater. The neck is a K1P1. I'm binding off in pattern.
The neck fits, but the binding does not stretch to go over the head.
How do I make the binding stretch with the rest of teh neck?/
Any advice?

DP
Hi everyone,
As the subject line tells you we had a very cold morning this morning
and the next few days are not going to be much better. We also still
have the month of March to go through.
I dislike wearing a hat but my ears could not take it anymore and I
have decided to knit a headband to keep...

Wallaby - minor mod makes for easier pockets by
Wooly
The wallaby pattern calls for gyrations to install the set-up for the
pocket. Last night in my sleepy state I decided to knit the set-up
row with both strands of yarn. Care must be taken to ensure that the
"body" stitches end up in back when you turn the work to purl back on
the pocket stitches,...

CD from Noreen by
Susan Carey
I got my CD with patterns for the Smartgroups RCTY knitalong. Let me
tell you it is more than worth the money. I love having patterns come
that way, and these are special. I am already working on the Praire
Breeze Lace Shawl. It is so much fun and so very pretty. Mom will get
that for her birthday...

Has anyone tried the einstein coat? by
Liz M
I love the pattern but don't want to knit a very heavy coat that will pull
out of shape very quickly, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried making it in
anything other than the lopi yarn suggested, which seems to be quite hard to
get hold of in the U.K.
Any experience of making this coat, in any...

Kumihimo by
Andy Dingley
Any advice for a kumihimo beginner ?
I began with some woodturning, as I'm more used to working wood than
fabrics. So that produced my marudai and a set of bobbins.
First attempts have used cotton embroidery floss and the simple 16
thread rotating pattern described...

looking for advice on the types of fibers that work well in socks, and
also for particular yarn recommendations.
I was recently given a pair of SmartWool...
