Solved mystery by
Maureen Wozniak
As some of you know, David's antique quilt won a blue ribbon at our State
Fair this week. We picked up the quilt and ribbon yesterday. (Apparently
Antique Quilts is a category that is extremely competitive year after year).
We photographed it and it was too pretty to just put back in it's...

Solved the problem of drawing Centennial Quilt blocks in EQ by
Susan Laity Price
Yesterday I posted that I had used EQ to draw many of the blocks in
The Centennial Sampler by Judie Rothermell. This book is like Dear
Jane in that she gives you a clear outline drawing of the block but
doesn't give you patterns. Her blocks are 5" finished, set together
with an interesting sashing...

solved tumbler problem by
Susan Laity Price
Earlier this afternoon I posted a question about EQ5. I do not see the
posting so it might be lost in "never never land". Just wanted you to
know that I have solved my problem. Hope this posting comes through
before anyone has spent time trying to solve my problem.

Some bad news by
lloer
Hi,
I don't know if you remember me (I know Kate will though), I recently posted
pictures of the quilt I made for my Dad, he has an inoperable brain tumour.
The doctor has said that it is now a matter of days. I'm still at home at
the moment (I live a few hours drive away) but I will be going down...

My blocks through September are now on webshots. I'm bringing fabric and

Some comforting (and funny!) words for the "casual" quilter by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
Cruising thru all 718 quilting books on WalMart's website (whew!) I
found one called "That Dorky Homemade Look". There is a section of
the book printed on the website. You need to read this for a good
belly laugh... a hilarious point of view on...

Some days I just don't *have* it by
Eli
Man, yesterday was a fiasco! I tried machine quilting in the morning and
ended up stopping so I wouldn't start throwing things... then I put my work
totally away and did the normal housework, running around... Kids went down
for a nap in midafternoon and I picked up a simple piecing project...

Some days it all just comes together... by
Fay
Here's me out of lurking for a minute.
Went into a LQS the other day. As I said to the lovely owner, "I only
need this single skein of DMC. But I'm NOT leaving with just this!"
So I found a pretty finch stitchery on preprinted fabric to make a
wall hanging, some Weavline for my stitching projects...

Some good news for a change! by
AliceW
We are pretty sure (99.99%) the new grandbaby due in October is going to be
a boy! Will be confirmed in the next month, but I threw caution to the wind
today and bought "blue" for the baby's first quilt. I'm making a chenille
and 4 patch combo. See - and you thought it wasn't going to be on...

Some good news! by

We have closed the sale of the house that we bought a few years ago for our
kids to live in while attending college! I didn't even get the sign out of
the back seat of my car before I had someone who wanted to look at it. And
they bought it! Woo hoo!!! That certainly saved me a lot of...
