cooking poly clay - when is it done? by peter
I followed the instruction and cook the clay for 15 min at 275F. When I removed it, it is still elastic. Does that mean it's not cooked, or does it harden after it cools down? I ended up cooking it a few more minutes until it hardened. But I'm not quite sure if it was necessary.

Barbara--clay donation by kellyK
Barbara - the clay arrived yesterday, and the kids dug right in. One made a lightswitch cover, another made an adorable teddybear, and one of the seniors added to the 'red hat lady' she is making. Thanks so much for the sampler -- you should be getting a formal thank you letter from Hope...

New discussion forum for polymer clay by DD
For a while it has been difficult to find any good place on the web with a discussion area for polymer clay. This forum started just a few months ago, is rising in popularity as a great place to discuss these topics: http://www.statuaryplace.com/dicussion_frame.html

seed bead tube storage by Carla
A couple of months ago, I saw a plastic ammo case used for storing clay canes. I thought that would also be a good way to store tubes of seed beads, to keep them upright and easily accessible, etc. Unfortunately, I can't remember the website I saw it on. I've gone looking for "plastic ammo...

glass attic question by kellyK
I know I'd been away from polymer clay for awhile, but it seems my memory is failing... did Laurel Nevans originate Glass Attic? I thought someone else did, but Laurel's home page seems to suggest that she began it -- or maybe I'm just reading it incorrectly. Or I *could* chalk it up to still...

Old vs new 'enhanced' inkjet paper by kellyK
I've been playing around with some epson Stylus-Pro printer paper (doing transfers), but I've noticed in Glass-Attic that the S041062 order-number switched 'formula' at some point. This paper I have is about 3 years old, so I'm assuming I have the 'old' kind. Is it still 'no go' with the...

To drill or pre-pierce? by
What are the reasons one would drill a bead after baking instead of piercing it while soft? How do you drill a squirming, rolling bead, (i.e. what drill, how do you keep it still, etc?) Many thanks from a real newbie!

transfers - still complicated? by kellyK
How is the search for inexpensive ways of transferring images onto clay (raw or otherwise) with INK JET printers *without* hassle or expensive transfer papers coming? I'd like to try to develop a way, but I don't have the patience to reinvent the wheel. KellyK
