Layette stalled... by
Heather and Reggie Fulbright
Well, I've had to put the layette on the back burner for the rest of the
week. I have a spur of the moment baby shower coming up on Sunday and am
frantically crocheting a baby afghan. I'll be pulling a few late nights
between now and then.....*sigh* Maybe I'll finish the layette next...

Pickled eggs? OT, obviously :) by
Slinky
I want to pickle the last dozen Easter eggs. As my cucumber pickles
have always been nasty mushy things I don't have any good pickle
recipes. I'm after something hot-n-sweet with a refrigerator cure.
Somebody out there has a good brine recipe to fit the bill and I'd
love to have it.

Belated Happy St Georges Day by
Aud
Thank you, Cher, for reminding me!!
As an old girl scout, I cannot understand
how I could forget St. Georges Day!
But today is the world's book day too,
and I am in charge of that at our school.
Every pupil in 6. and 7. grade in Norway
got a book today. There were 6 different books,
and they were...

Bored or boring? by
Slinky
I was asked today if I knit because I'm bored and if I realize how
boring other people find my knitting. This was in the same sentence,
same breath, from a person who as nearly as I can tell has no hobbies
except the endlessly self-satisfying one of finding fault with others.
I sweetly replied...

dishrag by
Diane Broderick
I remember knitting some dishrags starting with 4 stitches adding on till I
had 44 stitches and then starting to decrease. What I can't remember is
what to do when I started the decrease. I know when adding all I did was
yarn over but when I decrease I need to do something else besides...

Bats-In-The-Belfrey-Shawl (how I did it) by
Noreen's Knit*che
Okay,
I've decided I WILL share it, but NOT *here*.
Also, not going to answer emails from 'lurkers' who only jump out to get a
free pattern and then dematerialize into the atmosphere.
SO! Here's the deal.... email me offlist. I'll send you the pattern in
PDF format only. (you'll need Acrobat...

Norwegian sweater by
Laura
I'm going to take the plunge and do my first Norwegian sweater - It's
a fairly complicated pattern, but what the heck.
So, any general advice? Anything in particular I should look out for?
Cheers,
Laura M

Vest Dilemma by
Miss Prissy
I have just completed a knitted vest and while the size is just right
for my across-shoulder width it is much too wide down the sides.
I'd like to take it in at the side seams. What is the best way to do
this? It would appear that I could sew a new seam but how do I treat
the cut edges and loose...
