non clay question by
dawn
Last year I asked a nonclay question in an attempt to find a product I was
looking for. It was a multi system key finder. It had 4 different remotes to
attach to things like keys and remote controls. Well I did find a source and
since a few people seemed interested I listed the site here. Well now...

Translucent Flower Cane? by
K&N
Someone was showing me some pictures of beads that I assume are some sort of
translucent flower cane layered onto round beads.
Can someone point me to a picture of beads made with this technique so I can
make sure I'm talking about the right thing?
Two... where are the instructions for this type...

It's past time that I said thank you to all purchased Creating Life-like

transfering pic to clay by
Elizabeth M. Phillips
I tried not very successfully to transfer a picture to clay. I did visit
Glass Attic. I had a book, too, but just couldn't get it to be clear and
really transfer. Even left the pic on the clay in the oven, but it just
didn't work.
I had bought some lazer tran and the other similar paper, but...

baking "clay" by
KD
The grandkids wanted to make clay figures. Having 8 grandkis who could make
a figure a minute was a bit expensive so we settled on non-toxic play-do
type "clay." they had a ball, cooked it about half an hour at 250. Made tons
of ornaments which they will now paint and decorate. We bounced more...

Ebay: Customized pet magnets! by
AlleyCatStudio1
Greetings, I'm an artist who usually does 2d, with occasional forays into 3D.
I first discovered Cernit years ago, and recently got back into this after I
discovered SuperElasticlay moldmaking compound! I like the surface look you
can get when you press different colors into the mold. Here's my...

My latest sculpture, Love Will Find a Way by
Kathmandu
Here is a link to my latest sculpture. It is a pretty big file. Caution:
although it has no naughty bits showing it is an adult piece. It is two
anthropomorphic characters, a polar bear and an artic fox finding a middle
ground to share themselves. I used Premo and Supersculpy and a lot of...

repairing deep scratch in polymer beads? by
bluemaxx
Hi, newbie here. :) I don't make polymer beads - just buy them.
I have a problem I'm hoping others in there can help me with. I've
checked the Glass Attic site, but they only have a section for
repairing beads broken in half, not scratches.
My problem... I packed a polymer bracelet in an...

In the holiday spirit by
Diana Curtis
At the URL below, in the clay folder, are this years crop of ornaments. They
have been fun. I do wish I could capture the depth in the rose balls. They
were layered with jellyroll canes of pearl, gold or silver, and lots of
translucent.
I hope you enjoy them.

Would it help to rebake? by
VanderSandra
Hi
Some of my sculptures are painted with acrylics after baking & glazed with
gloss or matte varnish (also acrylics) depending on where it does & doesn't
need to be shiny. Is it a good idea to give them another quick bake after
painting to kind of set in the color? Would alter the shade any or is...

How to Display Beads? by
K&N
I am going to try and sell some of my beads at a bead show in February. I
need to figure out a way to display my beads. Obviously I need something so
that will entice the customer to stop and look. I was thinking of little
boxes or a checkerboard setup of boxes. Plus I need to consider if I...

Stencil or stamp? by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I have much experience in making printed circuit boards
using photoetching techniques. Recently I got 10 Kgs of
epoxy glass copper clad boards, double sided, from a
friend that quitted his electronics activity.
My past experiences with photoetching have been a great
success if I used...

Mixing Clay by
Rachel
Hi
I am mixing Super Sculpey (in the green box which is flesh colored)
and Cernit (white) to lighten the flesh color. Does anyone have any
tips on getting it blended thoroughly so that there are no 'white'
streaks. So far I put both in a food processor and got it all
crumbled up and then through...
