I don't think that any of the textile crafts will every disapear, it sort of comes and goes with a very solid core in the center that is going back eons.....(big smile) What goes around comes around...... Els I was in Old Salem, NC, last week and they had various small kits for kids...

Hi group! I've just taught a 45 year old woman as well as her 23 year old daughter the 'basics' of knitting. How this came about was while entering 3 projects in the local county fair... the 'registrar' was admiring my work, but felt terrible that she had never learned... her grandmother knitted...

Can crochet hooks FLY? by Sew-Sew Lady
While reading the take-along projects messages, I started wondering if any of you had successfully taken a crochet project along on a flight. Scissors and knitting needles don't seem to make it on board often, so I was curious if a crochet project might be a good idea for a flight.
