Plastic boxes deteriorating my fabric??!! by
QuiltShopHopper
I heard something about how the plastic storage boxes my fabric is stored in
releases fumes that eat the fabric. Urban legend started by husbands or
what? What time measure does it take for my fabric to be harmed?

Intro and Questions by
Jennifer Frinchaboy
Hello,
I have been lurking here for a little while and I have learned so much. You
all have so much knowledge and experience to share. I have two quilts
started but have yet to finish them. I am expecting my first child on Sept.
25th, so one of my quilts is a baby quilt. Hopefully I can finish...

Metallic Thread Question by
Kate Dicey
Jessica Jones wrote:
Hi all,
I just bought some metallic thread for my next quilt (only 3rd one, and I'm
not even finished with my 2nd) and I realized I don't know what to do with
it! :-) Metallic thread is for quilting, not piecing, right? And can you
use it for machine quilting...

Did something a bit quilty today! by
Kate Dicey
I washed and ironed several miles of fabric! Well, yards anyway! Felt
like miles when I was ironing it, but I watched the Midsommer Murders
while doing it.
2.5 m of 60" wide with kitty faces all over
3 m of green leaves
3 m yellow pebbly stuff
3 m of green/grey pebbly stuff
2'n'abit m of fruit

Memory quilt by
Aaron Toponce
I have searched this newsgroup for an answer to this question, but all
the answers I seem to keep finding does not discuss washing the quilt.
My wife would like to make a memory quilt using her mothers and
grandmother pictures. She is planning on printing the pictures on
iron on transfers and...

Question: Very large stencils by

I have two very large stencils (17x17) which I am planning to use together
to create patterns on cloth napkins.
Because of some very fine details on the stencil, it would be difficult to

I'm thinking about maybe blueprinting or using...

Vote for breast cancer calendar art by

Gee, this is supposed to be a site to promote good health, a cure
and so on. IMO, it should be USER friendly! I have no idea how to
switch to Internet Explorer .... don't even know if I have that
or what. Also, they sure asked for a lot of information ... why
do they need my name, and so on just to...

Southern California Quilters' Run Part 2 by
Debbe Nye
Hi everyone,
Well, I did it! I made it solo to all of the 22 shops in both the
south and north divisions of the So Calif Quilters Run. Now all I
have to do is wait for the drawings :-)
First, I have to admit I was a little lax in starting the second part
of the run--because I waited to the last...

sewing machine poll by
Don/Gen
Does anyone on the list have a Brother ULT2003 or the Babylock Ellageo? I
was at an embroidery conference last week and had a chance to sew on the
Brother ULT. I thought nothing could beat the D1, but I felt the Brother
screen was so much more user friendly than the D1, plus it made...

Making Quilt Raffle Tickets? by
dogmom
Are there any models anywhere for raffle tickets (for a quilt, of
course--but maybe the model wouldn't need be so specific?) Like, should they
be numbered--does it matter? I assume they should always be two parts--one
for the buyer to keep, the other with their name and phone for the drawing.
Are...

Trip Report: Southern California Quilters' Run (South)--long! by
Debbe Nye
Hi everyone, I haven't posted much since I joined last year--been too
busy trying to absorb all the knowledge here and work on my mostly
small projects. A few months ago, I happened to pick up a flyer at my
LQS for the Southern California Quilters' Run, which made no sense to
me at first. ...

Hiya folks,

bag made from FQ's??? by
David & Barbara Schmidt
Does anyone have or know where I can get cheap/free the pattern for tote
bags that takes 6 (i think) fat quarter's?
Also any other cute tote bags that are easy to make?
I'm thinking about making some of those for my craft bazaar table too.
Thanks!
