Back of Counted Cross Stitch work by
PalmaG72
What is the secret in having CCS work look neat in the back as well as the
front - I start out okay but then the back of the work gets all threaded -like
one lump - are there any instructions in how to do a neat piece in the back

Turkey Work Stitch Question by
anne
I've been trying to learn the turkey work stitch which I think might work with
several ideas I have percolating. I can't figure out how to camouflage the
topmost anchor row which, in my experiments, looks like a collection of
backstitches. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Deerfield NH Fair results by
Queen City x-stitcher
Well I just return from the 128th Deerfield fair. I entered three pieces
for competition.
I won a second place ribbon for "Angel of the Sea". The comments were
fine but the judges prefer pieces to be under glass. "Gift of Peace"
entered under the misc. needlework div. was disqualified due to...

I started stitching a pattern called "Blueberry Homecoming" some years

Now I'd like to work on it again (it's not far from being finished),

Might anyone know where I could locate this graph???

Lead by some finger of fate, I guess, I stumbled on a post by Carl
Geenen and his method of clean hole, dirty hole. Just though I'd pass
this on to new stitchers. Thanks, Carl, wherever you are.

Marc's Lavender Lilacs are out. There's a picture of them on Hoffman's
web site. Nora Corbett (Mirabilia) has a new fairy out,and Black
Swan has one called Dragon's Lair. Looks like I'll be buying
patterns.

Very OT. For the wine-drinkers! by
Gillian Murray
Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item:
Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up
with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto,California, to produce the spirits at an
affordable price, in the $2-5 range.
While wine connoisseurs may not be...

Shops in Boston area? by
Elyse Grasso
Last winter I spent several months in Minneapolis, where I was spoiled
by the availability of Stitchville USA.
And there are quilting shops and needlework shops all over the place
near my home in Colorado.
This year I have a consulting gig in the Boston area (living in
Malden, working in North...

Punch Needle Embroidery by
lula
Geez, as if I don't have enough to do........but using a Russian punch
needle is a technique I've been wanting to try for many years and
finally after seeing finished samples here and there and talking to my
fellow designer friend Pam Kellogg who has been "playing" with her set
of needles, I...

Janet's Move by
Hello to everyone - I'm back in my house!! It's nice to be back but I
really miss all my needlework that was on the walls! It will take a LONG
time to stitch them again. All the new furniture is nice. It's very
surreal to be back in the same house with all different furniture.
Thanks to...

needlepoint from a graft by
D.M.Evans
Before I head to the store, I need to ask a question; I want to do a pattern
that was created for cross stitch in needlepoint. How do I buy the canvas?
Is it like cross stitch with thread counts?

keeping track by
D.M.Evans
How do people keep track of where they are in a pattern? For my cross
stitch, I have lately been blowing up the graft and then highlighting as I
go. I use a dry marker so that it won't bleed. Now I know that photocopy the
graft is really against copy write, but most grafts are way too small in...
