AQS show registration by
KJ
The registration catalogue for the AQS show has been mailed out. If you
have sent in for one, watch your mailbox! They mail these out a bit before
they open the online registrations. I guess they reward the people who pay
the money for the printing. It looks like some pretty good classes for...

Arch Quilts? by
aluap
Hi, Having a really nice weather day here in Northern Virginia!
Has anyone ever heard of the Arch Quilts Company? I found two full-size
quilts in MIL's house, one of which has a narrow label in the corner that
says, Arch Quilts, Elmsford, NY. The other one doesn't have a label but the
style...

Archtecture Digest, not OT by
Anne in CA
Just saw the June issue on the rack at my grocery store. There is a
beautiful Lone Star quilt on the cover. I was in a hurry so didn't stop
to thumb through it. Next trip to the groc, if there are more quilts
inside the mag, I'll buy it. That is one magazine I try to avoid though.
The pages just do...

Are we DEAD ? by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Maybe my newsreader has gone south for better weather ... ??? I don't see
diddly-squat from anybody for at least 24 hours.
Please tell me that you all didn't freeze to death ... not a considerate
time to mention that we had short-sleeve weather today.
Anybody quilting? Anybody...

Are You a Piecer or a Quilter? by
QUILTKITTY
More and more I see friends/acquaintances in one category or another.
Many at my local quilt shop, after they finish piecing their tops, farm out the
quilting portion to someone with a longarm quilt machine. IOW, they don't
finish what they started. On the other side are those, like myself, well...

Dear Joe,
After reading your message in Ursula's thread, I thought you, Mark and
Tristan needed some prayers and healing thoughts as well.

are you an artist - are your quilts art? by
Musicmaker
Sleet and freezing rain have closed the local schools - yeah! that
means that I have no piano lessons to teach and have ALL DAY to
quilt. Have been devouring a book I bought used that's called
"Journey of an Art Quilter" by Barbara Olson and it's awesome. Has
instructions for defining your own...

Are you smarter by

than a second grader. Nope and I admit it.
I was reading your tips on quilt labels and it reminded me of my great
niece. I made her a quilt of her favorite colors. I did the usual
label thing. I attached the label to the backing then machine quilted
over the label. I thought what if the label...

Are you working on Holiday Projects? by
Pat in Virginia
Just happened to notice that today is June 25, just six month until
Christmas. Our Ragmop usually jumps in here and does a countdown about
now, but I thought I'd beat her to it. ;)
Am I working on special Holiday Projects? Nope! But I am working on a
quilt, and some blocks for BOM at guild. The...
